by Kathryn on May 30, 2008, at 5:53AM PST Love your show, bro'. How about a bake-off w/ a fellow ex-con, Martha Stewart? Or a rival home-boy from Staines, Ali G? (I heard he's in LA pitching his latest demo tape and babysitting Sasha Baron Cohen's new baby). You'll win fer sure if you compete on something made w/ pork. You know it freaks him out.
Now, about your Coolettes: aren't they sposed to be thowin' signs while you're cookin? If not, how about some synchronized back-up moves like The Supremes? Shaka Zulu!

Cookin’ With Coolio

Episode 10: Soul Rolls

Ingredients:

- 1 Package of Spring Roll Wrappers

- 1 Pound Ground Turkey or Ground Beef

- 1 Large Bag of Jack/Cheddar Cheese

- 1 Dime-bag of Seasoning Salt

- 1 Dime-bag of Pepper

- 1 Medium White Onion

- Minced Garlic

- 1 Head of Green Cabbage

- Mix of Sauces (Chili Sauce, Salsa, Ranch, Thousand Island Dressing, etc.)

- Sunflower Oil

Instructions:

1. First thing you want to do is cover your spring roll wrappers with a slightly damp towel to keep them from drying out. With that done, it’s time for some Blasian cookin’.

2. Place one pound of ground turkey or ground beef into a medium sized bowl.

You can even use ground chicken or ground alligator. I don’t give a damn!

3. Pour in half a dime-bag of Seasoning Salt.

4. Follow that up with 4 peenches of pepper. Shaka!

5. Toss in half a handful of chopped white onion.

6. Spoon in one teaspoon of minced garlic. Zulu!

7. Get your hands in there and mix it up, my Kitchen Pimps in training.

8. Don’t be afraid if you look at your meat and it don’t look complete. All you got to do is give it a sniff. If it doesn’t smell right, add more Seasoning Salt.

9. All ya'll Kitchen Pimps and Hos, it’s time to improvise! That’s right, raid your refrigerator. You can use whatever you want, but for this recipe we suggest a dollop of chili sauce and salsa.

10. Use a spoon and get it coagulated. Get it together like we were in the 70s. Back then we had flavor, we had style and we had soul’da!

11. Cook your meat until it’s nice and brown.

12. Spread out one spring roll wrapper.

13. Take a little cabbage and spread it right on there.

14. Take a little ground beef’ah and put it over your cabbage.

15. Take a little cheese’ah and put that right on top.

16. Do a little dance with your Sauce Girls.

17. Now, roll it nice and tight like a blunt. Rolling it too loose will make it too greasy on the inside.

18. Pour in enough sunflower oil into a large wok or pan to float your soul rolls. Turn the head all the way up and let it get HOT!

19. Carefully drop in two to four soul rolls, depending on the size of your wok or pan. Let them cook for 3 to 4 minutes, turning them occasionally.

20. Invite your Mailman to the motherfuckin’ table. It’s time to eat some Soul Rolls.
