Scott's band,The Rationals, scored a hit record with their cover of Otis Redding's "Respect" in 1966 - a year before Aretha recorded it. He's been a major force in Detroit rock 'n' roll ever since...In the 1970's, he was the lead singer in Sonic's Rendezvous Band - a Detroit super group that also featured Fred 'Sonic' Smith of the MC5 and Scott Asheton of The Stooges. At the Concert of Colors, he performed a medley consisting of the early Bob Seger classic, "2+2", "Respect" and Fred Smith's "City Slang.
