Maia Sharp is a great singer-songwriter whose songs have been recorded by the likes of Bonnie Raitt, Trisha Yearwood, Art Garfunkel, The Dixie Chicks and Edwin McCain. We were in a studio in Hollywood a few weeks ago when she sat down at the piano to play us a great new song she'd written with guitarist Mark Addison. It's called "John Q. Lonely" and, fortunately, our cameras were running and the tape was rolling.....

Check out Maia Sharp's new album "Echo" produced by Don Was at myspace.com/MaiaSharp

By inlinemba on October 12, 2007, at 10:04AM PST Maia - Great stuff, Thanks. No offense to Mark - but, I would have prefered Darren Embry on background vocals. Mark's vocals are WAY TO LOUD ! ! ! Darren's vocals blend much better with Maia's.

By rodgerma on October 11, 2007, at 7:10AM PST Again; Thanks a bunch Don & Co. Great video. Sad story, but hey, that's life in a nutshell these days.
I continue to be baffled by this format. Kinda B/W enhanced, if you know what I mean. And Maia/John deliver a true performance.
So, thanks. It's on my MP3 player as we speak :-)
