To my dear friend, you:
Hi! How are you? I heard about what's been going on with you and I'm super psyched for you. Just don't wear yourself out, okay? Things are good with me. I'm excited because we've just debuted a Wainy Days episode so intense it's in two parts! Watch the first one first! It's a story of life, death, rock & roll and the choices a man must face when he's dating this one chick but then this other chick is like all over him and what's he gonna do?
The title character is played by the incomparable Amy Miles, who also created the music. Amy and I have worked together on many things dating back to her appearance in an early Stella short all the way to the third episode of Wainy Days. Here's an Amy Miles music video I directed a long time ago, with many faces you may recognize...
The other aforementioned chick is Michelle Federer, an amazing actress and musical theater superstar, best known for being the original Nessarose in the cast of Wicked. Michelle and I went to high school together! You can see her in my student film Aisle Six.
PLUS you'll see other long time collaborators Adam Moreno aka DJBlue, Wainy Days theme maker Craig Wedren and Frederick Weller who currently stars on the show In Plain Sight.
And for My Damn Channel trivia buffs, MDC founder Rob Barnett is lurking in the background of this one. Look for the guy who looks like a handsomer Paul Williams but with less hair and not really.
If you like "Rochelle" why not send the link to a couple of friends?
Okay that's it for today, my "friend" - until next time I'll be on Twitter or my blog or facebook.
Yours always,
David Wain
PS - if you like Wainy Days or Reno 911!, or Role Models, or Stella or Wet Hot American Summer then be sure to check out The State, the series that gave birth to all that stuff, coming to DVD on July 15th!
