Last week we let Gigi: Almost American out of the bag. He's making his way around the web at ludicrous speeds. Check it out!

Nice Try, Academy

As we already pointed out a couple days ago, this year’s Oscar nominations were announced this week, sending pop culture dorks the world over into a frenzy as everyone scrambled to figure out who was superior to who -- the douchebag computer programmer, the stammering king, James Franco’s gross-ass arm, etc. But c’mon. We all know the Oscars are a sham created by Free Masons to launder money from their cockfighting ring (thanks, Wikipedia!). Who cares who did the best job ugly-ing themselves up for a role, or which hairpiece was the least ridiculous? The really impressive filmmaking achievements are all right here, on My Damn Channel…

Best Tapestry of Lies and Deceit, Horrible People Murder, alcoholism, infidelity. General rudeness. It’s all par for the course for A.D. Miles’ soap opera. Who needs subtle and naturalistic performances when arched eyebrows, leering, and melodramatic pauses will get the job done just as well? Just watch your back. Somebody’s probably waiting to stab you back there.

Best Tilapia, Cookin’ with Coolio Coolio is a man of many talents. Rapping, acting, gravity-defying braids. But did you know he’s also an accomplished chef? Well, you do now. And while he may not headed on Top Chef any time soon, but hey, he’s the “Fantastic Voyage” guy! Teaching you how to cook! ‘Weird’ Al never did a parody of anything Emeril Lagasse ever did. Just sayin’.

GIGI, BABY!

Here's what you need to know: an awesome new 10-episode series starring Josh Gad ("The Book of Mormon") called "Gigi: Almost American" is coming to My Damn Channel.  Soon.  And it's hilarious.  Because it stars Josh Gad.  And was made by The Lost Nomads.  And us.  And the BBC.  So get ready.  A lovable robust foreigner named Gigi is coming to My Damn Channel.

Call Me Oscardamus!

The nominees for the 83rd Academy Awards were announced this morning by Mo'Nique and The President of the Academy! both looking good reading from a monitor.

The nominees are all fine - you can read the full list here - but I think the real story of the day is that a couple of weeks ago I predicted the 10 Best Picture nominees:

BOOM! Nailed it! 10 for 10, baby! Just call me Oscardamus! That's my writing, scribbled two weeks ago, with doodles. I am clearly the Christian Bale of Oscar predictions; the David Fincher of predicting the future; the Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook of picking movies that will win an honor! Not you, not you, and not you!

Now, I now what you're saying. "DannyMoney, the last choice is not quite clear! You've got three listed!" Yeah, yeah. Winter's Bone is first, and that's the one I'm going with. Got a problem? I'll give you 127 hours - OF PAIN. Which is exactly what that movie was about. James Franco in pain.

So yeah, just call me Oscardamus. And don't worry, DannySwami will be calling the winners right here, soon enough. Don't bet against me, suckas, you gonna get HURT.

Portlandia is so funny it killed Jack LaLanne

Too soon? You're right. It is too soon to tell if Portlandia is going to be THAT funny. But based on it's premier episode, it's got the potential to be a killer show.

And yes, fitness legend Jack LaLanne did die (shown here doing FINGERTIP PUSH-UPS!). The man was a tank, and @MarylandMudflap has tweeted a fitting eulogy.

"Jack LaLanne will carry his own casket at his funeral."

Thank Google It's Friday

You've heard of that web startup company Google, right? Well yesterday they played musical chairs and some guy replaced this other guy but the original guy didn't go anywhere, he just slipped into this other role, and all of them still have enough money to literally buy my life.

Checkout what this Unofficial Facebook Resource page has to say about it. Apparently, a great battle is looming. Who would you side with? If you say MySpace then you're already dead.

Twitter user Fronsac summed this whole Google switch up nicely:

"Today would have been perfect if Google picked me as their new CEO."

Bob Dylan Signs Six Book Deal?!

It's no secret that we love Bob Dylan at My Damn Channel, so we were extremely excited to read on IFC.com that it's rumored Bob Dylan has signed a six book deal, and will continue his enlightening, though typically enigmatic, memoir series "Chronicles".  The first volume was released in 2004, so it's been a while since we've had the privilege to enter the mind of Mr. Dylan.

And even though it's just a rumor, we're confident that it's gonna happen.  Why?  Well, we first heard the news via IFC, who just so happen to have content from their new series "Portlandia" on My Damn Channel.

Coincidence?  I think not!

So while we're waiting for "Portlandia" to premiere tomorrow at 10:30pm on IFC, and for the next Dylan volume to come out in who knows how long, enjoy this performance from Sweet Pea Atkinson, a soul singing legend who has recorded with Bob Dylan.

The King of All Media on CNN

Last night, Howard Stern went on Piers Morgan Tonight to be interviewed by British dude Piers Morgan. Right off, Howard took control, and it was clear why he is the King of All Media - even though it seemed Piers believed that he and Howard were...PEERS! OH!

My Damn Channel's own fearless leader Rob Barnett was asked on to the Howard Stern Show last year on 4/20 to discuss Howard's departure from terrestrial radio and finding his replacement.  And Howard was gracious enough to chat about My Damn Channel - The King!  Talking about My Damn Channel!  What an awesome experience.

Enjoy a clip from the interview HERE.

Ricky Gervais and his Golden Globes - Complete Bits

The globes on this guy! How convenient that there's an awards show called the Golden Globes that he can host every year. That's right, every year.

Jets beat the Patriots! But the real winner is...

...Tom Brady.

Feel free to celebrate this fact with a sexually harrassing episode of Back on Topps.
