Easy To Assemble is Back!

They're back.

Illeana Douglas, Justine Bateman and their IKEA co-workers are on a Swedish tour in Season 3, "Finding North." Will Illeana ever get her award for Coworker of The Year? Is Justine still Forty and Bitter?

Will anyone ever tell us if lingonberries are delicious mostly because we doubt they exist in the world outside IKEA stores? Will they take a side trip to China, where many people treat IKEA stores like amusement parks? Will they go to Germany where IKEA restaurants are more popular than McDonalds? Will anyone just come over to our house and help us put some BILLY bookshelves together?

We'll all just have to wait and see! (Unless you really want to help us with some furniture-building. That can happen immediately.)

Vampires, Werewolves, Hookers and HBO

So, it's Sunday night and we're just chilling at home watching HBO and True Blood comes on, and, yeah, there's vampires and werewolves and fairies and blood and sex but then there's also something kind of familiar...

Brit Morgan!

In True Blood, she plays "Debbie Pelt," a paranoid, hyper-sexed, formerly drug-using, possibly crazy werewolf:

In Gigi, she plays a paranoid, hyper-sexed, currently drug-using, probably crazy prostitute:

Now you can see how we recognized her: she's got this crazy-lady character thing down pretty well.

So that's how our Sunday night played out: we sat in front of the TV watching HBO.  If we watched Entourage we'd tell you how Illeana Douglas plays Ari Gold's sister-in-law, but we don't watch that show.  If we're going to watch a show about soulless blood-suckers, we'll watch the show about vampires, not Hollywood agents, thank you very much.

We'll be here all week, folks.

Escape From New York

It has been so hot in New York we've been melting.  So we decided to hit the road and get outta dodge.  (Yes, that is redundant, but we don't care.)

First we went to New Orleans to see the Celebrity Autobiography LIVE benefit for the Gulf Coast Oil Spill Fund.  Creators Eugene Pack and Dayle Reyfel brought out the big guns with Ryan Reynolds, John Goodman, Jennifer Coolidge, Mario Cantone, Bryan Batt and more, raising over $10,000!!!  Check out this clip from the local NOLA morning show:

Now we're in Los Angeles, hanging out at the IKEA in Burbank with Illeana Douglas and crew filming the new season of Easy To Assemble: Finding North!!!

Tomorrow, we're shooting some exclusive Childrens Hospital goodness for you!  You did watch the premiere on Adult Swim last night, didn't you?  Clowns don't like it when you break promises to them.

Saturday, we're covering The Concert of Colors in Detroit with our main man, Don Was.  For ticket and scheduling info, visit their website: www.ConcertOfColors.com

We're racking up frequent flier miles like we're George Clooney's character in that movie Up In The Air from last Christmas that we've already forgotten.  Where will we be next and can you come out and say "hi?"  Make sure you're following us on Twitter, Tumblr and Facebook for all of the latest updates.  Come on.  What else are you going to do now that The World Cup is over?

We Finally Got a Piece of the Pie

We have been making friends on Twitter, and one of our fans sent us a PIE!  @jetemple said we were his 100th follower on Twitter, and we asked if we won something (because, hey, why not, right?) and he sent us a pie, god bless him.

Here is @jetemple getting ready to send us our pie:

Amazing, right?  Sigh.  Our fans are the best.  We love our fans.  We've been watching the World Cup together, we've been trying to Cheer Up Keanu Reeves together, we've been watching Celebrity Autobiography together...so, yeah, we're pretty tight with our fans.

We're hoping to hang with some fans at the BANFF conference, where fearless leader/founder/CEO Rob Barnett is on a panel, and Illeana Douglas is receiving an award.

We're hoping to hang with some fans at some of the Celebrity Autobiography LIVE events.

We're hoping to hang with some fans at the Just For Laughs Festival in Chicago, with Wainy Days stars David Wain and Rob Corddry.

Finally, we're hoping to hang with some fans in a luxury box at the New York Mets' Citifield stadium.  (Hey, we asked for a pie once, right?  Figured it was worth a shot.)

Illeana Says "Thank You, Fans!"

Posted in Illeana Douglas, Maria with tags Easy to Assemble, Illeana Douglas, Thank You Note on 5/14/2010 12:41:59 PM by Maria

We were pretty stoked about yesterday's announcement that IKEA said "yes" to a third season of Easy To Assemble.

We started perfecting our Swedish meatball and lingonberry pie recipes and our moms are helping us get some custom-made yellow polo shirts to wear at Season Three premiere parties.

When Illeana Douglas herself sent us THIS VIDEO to say Thank You to the fans for helping to make Easy To Assemble: Finding North a reality, we just about died from happiness.

You guys, she thanked us.  THANKED.  US.

::whispers:: Awesome.
