GraceNMichelle: 2 Girls 1 CUPid

On Valentine's Day, a bunch of folks from the My Damn Channel family went on a special date with our favorite gal pals, GraceNMichelle.

Pictured above left: (L-R) Kevin Flynn ("Puca"), Joshua Nicholson ("MRJOTZ"), Anthony Willingham ("Calvin Bentington"), KT Pierce ("Harvey Potato"/"ktgilead"), and James Dunne ("smokybanjo").

All other pictures: Grace Helbig (from My Damn Channel's Daily Grace) and Michelle Vargas nerding it up at The People's Imrpov Theater during their Valentine's Day comedy sketch show: 2 Girls 1 CUPid.

Not pictured, our twitter/facebook lady, Armeni Kamciyan, also came down to watch the girls shake their booties and put on a performance to steal (and eventually melt) all of our evil/cold hearts.

Just in case you missed the news, Puca and Smokybanjo flew all the way from Ireland to meet everyone and they had no idea what they were in for at Sunday night's show.

They sat in their seats, innocently watching while the girls paraded around on stage drooling over their fictitious love interests, "Ross and Ryan" - who, consequently, ended up being the lucky Puca & Smokybanjo. They didn't even have to worry about memorizing any lines to play the part - they were handed tiny pieces of paper (shaped like little red hearts).  It went something like this:

Grace:     Do you love us?

Ross & Ryan:     No.

Michelle:    Why don't you love us?

Ross & Ryan:    Because we love each other!

(The crowd roars with laughter)

That was a tough one to make the boys say out loud...

Keep up with GraceNMichelle, and maybe you'll bump into one of us at their next show...

Adventures in Interning: Lesson One

Posted in My Damn Channel with tags My Damn Channel, Interns, Flush, Toilet on 2/1/2010 11:50:39 AM by Virginia H. Reiff

My Damn Channel is doing its part to educate America's curious and lost youth: taking on several stupendous interns to edify the inner workings and secrets behind creating the World's Greatest Website and content.  (All for the price of a smile.)

But first, as they say: we need to learn how to flush The Toilet.

I sure hope I can get this part right.  It seems... somehow.. significant.  Like when I texted 'Haiti' to the Red Cross, or made Daily Grace a part of my morning routine, or learned that no matter how 'magical' coconut water is, it's not worth the nauseating flavor going down... Good thing I'll know how to flush it instead of imbibe it, eh?

WE CAN TAKE IT

Did you hate it?  Did you love it?  Want more of it?

We are real live humans and we love hearing from you.  Let us know what you think about all things My Damn Channel as we stand (or sit in comfy chairs).

Comment on this blog, or whisper sweet nothings at: info@MyDamnChannel.com. We promise, a HUMAN will read your thoughts. No, really. They will. You might even get a loving response full of thank yous and whatnots related to your love/hate mail. You shape us, and without you, we'd be shaped like a puddle of goo all over our office floors.

Which shows/stars do you love? Is there a particular 'type' of channel you think we're missing? Is there something about our site you'd like to see improved or destroyed?

Herrang us on Facebook and Twitter.

We're shutting up and listening now.

The Simpsons - 450th Episode!

Posted in Harry Shearer, My Damn Channel with tags Simpsons, 450th Episode, Associated Press, Harry Shearer, My Damn Channel, Ned Flanders on 1/6/2010 7:55:55 AM by KT Pierce ~ Voodoo Priestess

Who says The Simpsons don't age??

This Sunday night, "The Simpsons" turn 20 yrs old and the Internet is going viral with excitement (I mean, hey, they're almost drinking age!).

For those who don't know (welcome to Earth!) - our very own Harry Shearer performs a huge range of the voices for the characters on "The Simpsons", including (but not limited to):

  • Mr. Burns
  • Waylon Smithers
  • Ned Flanders
  • Principal Skinner
  • Otto
  • Reverend Lovejoy
  • Dr Hibbert
  • Kent Brockman
  • Jasper
  • Lenny
  • Eddie (the cop)
  • Rainier Wolfcastle (McBain)
  • Scratchy
  • Kang
  • Mr. Bouvier (Marge's father)
  • Dr. Marvin Monroe
  • Herman
  • Mr. Largo
  • Marty (from KBBL)
  • Dr Loren J. Pryor
  • Jebediah Springfield
  • Judge Snyder
  • Sanjay (Apu's brother)

Wow!

Harry was featured in an interview with the Associated Press, and from there - it's spreading like a Winter Cold across the globe!

Here's a sneak peek:

Shearer, who began his career as a child actor... keeps a multiplicity of projects under way. He hosts his own signature channel on the "My Damn Channel" comedy Web site.

"Matt [Groening] has a satirical, anti-authority streak," says Shearer. "From the beginning, 'The Simpsons' was taking the side of the family against all the authority figures and institutions that buffeted them in the modern world. Certainly, that resonated for me."

To celebrate - we're asking all of our readers/fans to dress up as Ned and attend church this Sunday (JUST KIDDING).  In all seriousness, check out some of the awesome articles going around on the web with Harry's exclusive interview and don't make plans this Sunday evening.  This week's episode ("Once Upon a Time in Springfield") will be one you won't want to miss!

(It doesn't hurt that they're mentioning My Damn Channel, either... whoo-hoo!!)
