Getting ready to leave CES and Las Vegas I can't help but be so inspired by the IAWTV and the online video community. Last night was a huge success! Having everyone in the same room was a huge reminder of the amount of talent working in and for our industry. We love and admire all of you, and can't wait to work with more of you in 2012!

Wainy Days' Very Own Elizabeth Banks up for Emmy

Posted in Emmys, Wainy Days with tags Elizabeth Banks, Wainy Days, Emmy Awards, Television on 7/15/2011 8:30:00 AM by Josh Meisel

Congratulations to Elizabeth Banks for her Emmy nomination in the category of Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series! In case Thursday is your bowling night, Elizabeth Banks plays Jack Donaghy's baby's mother Avery on NBC's 30 Rock. She also plays Wainy Days' Shelly, who shattered the web series' records by dating the fictionalized Wain in three separate episodes! Check them out here, here and here.

Oh, Jeez!!!

We're only two weeks away from the launch of Versailles. Among the many stars of this dark and twisted comedy is the illustrious Fred Willard. Would it be bold of me to say that Versailles puts Fred in one of his top five comedic roles ever? Yes it would, and I just said it.

Versailles launches May 9th. Check out this promo (featuring Fred Willard in a wrestling onesie) and set your internet for May 9th so you can be the first to check out this great new series.

My Damn Channel SXSW pix!

"Sandwiches & Shorts" screened the winners of the Subway Fresh Artists Filmmakers Challenge at the IFC Crossroads House at SXSW. Grace was there as hostess with the mostest, Rob made his way around the scene, and the Fresh Artists winners were there in full effect. SXSW was a blast (but we've gotta get back to work now).

Hope you followed us on Tumblr & Twitter!

3rd B-Day Hoo-Ha: Photographic Evidence

We are beyond thankful for the hundreds who came out to celebrate the NYTVF with us Friday night...to celebrate 3 years in business...to announce all that's new...and to celebrate the work of our hero Harry Shearer.

Dumb Title Speaks Volumes

Woke up and did something I haven't done since 11/7/07.

I read the first blog entry at My Damn Channel. We were about 3 months past our 7/31/07 launch.

The Writers' Strike had just begun. We were moving from our first NY space on Ninth Ave. to new digs off 7th Ave. You can read the rest. The veiled reference to that phone call was about Coolio. His series, "Cookin' with Coolio", created 10 episodes full of fast freedom.

Two and half years later, we just moved back to our original space. The hackey, over-used movie title speaks volumes. We're back. Inna Good Way.

Our last office had massive water damage, reconstruction insanity, busted elevators and - oh yeah - 3 terror scares in a week - so the webgods said "MOVE."

The new place is coming together - we're growing - we're hiring - we're launching all new programming all summer long and heading towards 7/31/10 - our 3rd birthday.

Perfect that Mr. Banjo was the commentor on blog one. Respect to the Smokester.

Going LIVE from LA

Tonight's the night web television's best are honored by the Streamy Awards.

We hit the red carpet with all the web couture we got.

Grace Helbig, Michelle Vargas, and Virginia Reiff bring you My Damn Channel coverage on our home page and our new www.MyDamnChannel.tumblr.com.

And My Damn Channel goes LIVE for the first time ever. The ceremony starts at 5:30p PST.

Look for David Wain, Illeana Douglas, Jason Sklar, Randy Sklar, Sparhusen, Todd Spahr, Rob Mailhouse, Justine Bateman, Douglas NINJA Sarine, and all our fellow nominees and nerds.

My Damn Channel BIG announcements coming from here at the Streamys too on what's new.

Make a Streamy Awards Promo

The 2010 Streamy Awards honor excellence in original web television and those who create it.

The annual ceremony will be live online from LA on Sunday, April 11. The official red carpet live stream starts at 4p pst.

It's a HOT NIGHT for NERDS.

We're feeling guilty about getting too many nominations (14). Time to put the spotlight on ALL good humans making the best in original video online. Magnanimus, huh?

We're asking all talented humans to make short promos for the Streamy Awards - to inspire more people to seek out the best original video on the web.

Two requests only. Keep your film in the :30-2:00 zone and include a graphic that says:

Watch the Streamy Awards LIVE
Sunday, April 11 at 5:30p PST
www.Streamys.org

We need your videos ASAP - NO later than Thursday, April 1 (yes - that day).

We'll feature many/most on My Damn Channel for 11 days leading up to the Streamys, 4/11.

If we ROFLOL, and experience deep, emotional sensations, you'll be all over the My Damn Channel home page and on our other syndication partners.

Get tech specs and learn how to send us your videos by emailing DAN here.

ICEMAN CHRONICLES OVER 300,000 VIEWS

Thanks for the solid start and the feedback. Tell us more: da good, bad, ugly, lovely.

Happy Friday THANKS to Rachel Webber, Ilsa Berg, Gabe Marano and all connected humans at Fox Television Studios and 15 Gigs for a hot first date.

MEGA THANKS to David Fickas, Brice Beckham, Drama 3/4, and the cast and crew for allowing us to join your world.
