The Mysteries of Flying Solo

Spoiler alert?

The mysterious ending of the third and final installment of Flying Solo has the My Damn Channel offices running around screaming in curious cries of "What does this mean??"

Could this be a hint of what's to come from "Easy to Assemble"? Will Illeana be stranded in the wilderness to fight for her survival? If so - our screams may be fearful...

Or...

Could the sudden appearance of Bjorn Epstein be a hint that there may be a zombified Spärhusen reunion? (Excitement screams)

Nah... That's too surreal...

Maybe it'll be a reenactment? Ooooh - or maybe (just maybe) we'll get to see more old footage from their days together before their mysterious plane crash... Plane crash?

Oh no. Screams of excitement just became screams of fear again - not enjoying the thought of plane crashes while our beloved IKEANS are suspended over Sweden.

There is so much screaming going on over here, I'm afraid the offices downstairs may call security to dismantle us.

Mysteries are just too exciting. Taking a deep breath.. ordering pizza..

"EASY TO ASSEMBLE" MINI-SERIES PREMIERES

Tag - you're ALL it. Everyone listed above is Flying High. Advertising Age just called Easy To Assemble "the most-watched sponsored web series."

Illeana Douglas had a vision about how to make the best possible films directly for the web - for fans - for actors - and for one very visionary sponsor: IKEA.

There's proof that Illeana was right. Everyone keeps coming back for more.

Today marks the premiere of the Easy To Assemble mini-series event: "Flying Solo."

HAPPY DAMN HOLIDAYS!

Merry Gracemas, y'all!

Get ready for a Loving & Emotional Holiday Message from the host of My Damn Channel herself!

I tell ya, if she had any more Holiday Cheer, we'd bring Santa back from the dead!!  Uh.. Wait...

A SWEDISH LESSON

With the big premieres of Spärhusen and Easy to Assemble season 2 quickly approaching, we started thinking about the lovely nation of Sweden and all the wonderful things it has brought us.  We're assuming you guys may not know everything (or maybe anything) about the country squished somewhere between Finland and Norway.  So, here are a few educational facts about this Scandinavian gem!

-
-Sweden is called "The land of the midnight sun" or "The land of the Vikings".  We’re thinking is should be called "The Land of Apples and Fish" or "The Land of Ikea"…but that’s just us.

--The Swedish alphabet has 3 more letters than the English alphabet; they are å, ä and ö.  We're wondering how this changes the ABC song...

--
One of Sweden’s most famous exports is the family friendly Volvo driven by soccer moms all over America.  The soccer-mom in Sweden is known as the  latte-mama. This is due to the Swedes’ obsession with coffee as they consistently rank in the top 5 for countries with the highest coffee consumption per year.  A coffee break is known as a “fika”.  “Fika” can be used as either a verb or a noun (i.e. “let's have a fika” or “shall we fika?”).     This is similar to the English word “dance” or “shit” (i.e. “this is shit” or “I need to shit”).

--
Legendary actresses Greta Garbo and Ingrid Bergman are both from The Land of Apples and Fish! Actor Gunnar Björnstrand, also hails from Sweden (not really sure who he is but he’s got an awesome name so therefore we included him).

--
In the 1970’s, the Swedish band ABBA gained worldwide popularity.  According to the always truthful and trustworthy Wikipedia.com, “Sweden is the third largest music exporter in the world, with over 800 million dollars in 2007 revenue, surpassed only by the US and the UK”.  Obviously, with the highly anticipated release of Spärhusen’s “The Best of Sparhusen” these numbers are likely to increase.

--
Finally, in Sweden dates are written Date/Month/Year unlike in America where we insist on being different from the rest of the world and writing    Month/Date/Year.  Therefore to avoid any confusion Spärhusen and Easy to Assemble Season 2 will be debuting on My Damn Channel on 8/10/2009 for the Swedes and 10/8/2009 for the Americans.

Shooting extremely twisted video this Sunday night at our CES opening night party in Vegas inside the Palms hotel. Don Was is producing. Andy Milonakis is Andy-ing. The rest is going to have to get down on tape to be real. Guest stars abound. Just saw an early cut of our new 'soap opera' series: HORRIBLE PEOPLE. Created by A.D. Miles.

Cookin' with Coolio is in pre-production in LA.

Getting early cuts of our first animated series: INVASION and our new BEDTIME STORIES series from creator, Steve Kerper. He will launch the CARNIVAL OF STUFF channel coming up. His "HAPPY HANNUKAH" video blew up &
made it into our Top 10 of 07.

Filmmaker/Comedian to Live in IKEA Store for an Entire Week- Media Invited Tuesday, Jan 8 at 1pm
NEW YORK – Mark Malkoff, a filmmaker and comedian whose video "171 Starbucks" documented his visits to all of the coffee chain's Manhattan stores in a single day, will live in an IKEA store in Paramus, N.J., for an entire week starting Monday, Jan. 7.

"My apartment has to be fumigated and I need to move out for several days," said Malkoff, 31. "All of my friends have tiny studio apartments. Hotels in the city are too expensive. My apartment is 80 percent IKEA products anyway. Moving into an IKEA store makes sense."

Miraculously, IKEA has agreed to let Malkoff live in its Paramus store for the week. Each night, Malkoff will post a video recap of his day at www.MarkLivesInIKEA.com, which will be up beginning Jan. 7.

"This isn't a commercial for IKEA," Malkoff said. "They are not paying me to do this. To me, it made sense for my living circumstance and I thought it would make an interesting video. IKEA is giving me 100 percent creative control of the video content, which is pretty amazing."

Malkoff is best known for his video "171 Starbucks," in which he is shown visiting and consuming purchases at each of the ubiquitous coffee chain's locations in Manhattan in a single day. The stunt landed Malkoff on the "Today" show and on CNN, and made him the butt of one of Jay Leno's monologue jokes.

MEDIA ARE INVITED TO MARK'S BEDROOM SET IN IKEA IN PARAMUS, N.J., ON TUESDAY, JAN. 8, AT 1 P.M. PLEASE RSVP TO mark@markmalkoff.com
Location: For Press Inquires:

Mark Malkoff is a comedian, writer and filmmaker. He has appeared as a guest on the "Today” show, CNN, Fox News Channel, ABC News, and Fox Business Network. He's also written for Radar Magazine and Steve Schirripa's talk show pilot for Fox. In July 2007, he produced and starred in a popular short video in which he visited and consumed purchases at all 171 Starbucks locations in Manhattan in one day. It can be viewed at www.171starbucks.com. Mark currently works as the audience coordinator on Comedy Central's "The Colbert Report." You can check out his work at www.markmalkoff.com
