At CES 2012, Founder/CEO Rob Barnett gave JWT Worldwide Chairman and CEO Bob Jeffrey a little insight into his perspective on the online video space and My Damn Channel's strategy:
We're still recovering from a raucous weekend in Montreal. We were there for Just For Laughs and much laughter was had, indeed.
There was an amazing speech from Marc Maron that The Comic's Comic has in its entirety:

Fearless leader/Founder/CEO Rob Barnett spoke on a bunch of panels:

We gave away a bunch of t-shirts:

And then David Wain got a bunch of his friends together and they did a live Wainy Days show:

So, you know, good times. Thanks to Jeffrey Ross, Garfunkle and Oates, CEO Rob Barnett, Rob Corddry, Zandy Hartig, Jon Stern, Reggie Watts (unpictured) and, most of all, David Wain for making Montreal a little more Wainy for one weekend.
As you embark on your Father's Day weekend, many of you will be visiting more than one parental household. Whether it be a combination of paternal father and stepfather, or your real Dad and the guy you call "Uncle Jim" who has sleepovers with your Mom, you're not all that different from our consummate romantic underdog, David Wain.
In
Episode #22, his father is played by Lee Majors - but in
Episode #25, it's Jeffrey Ross! No wonder this guy has issues.
Enjoy yourself this weekend. Let your Dad know that he can still beat you in basketball if you shave a few points off, or if you're a girl go ahead and not tell him about your live-in boyfriend. Happy Father's Day!

Last weekend My Damn Channel founder/CEO Rob Barnett hosted all-star panel for the closing keynote at the Blogworld & New Media Expo in Las Vegas.
Some of Rob's old friends like Penn Jillette and Adam Carolla and some of Rob's new friends like Mark Malkoff, Cali Lewis and Jeff Hayzlett joined Rob onstage to chat about the ever-changing world of New Media (we named them for you from left to right):

Here's the whole gang together, including the event's MC, Shira Lazar (third from left):

And a lot of you are sad you missed it. A lot of you probably didn't even know you should've been in Vegas last weekend! Don't fear! You can watch the video here! Fast forward to the 17:55 mark to see what might be the best thing to happen in Vegas since legalized gambling and stripper poles:

We're on the scene in Vegas. My Damn Channel Founder/CEO, Rob Barnett, was selected as one of the "25 Executives to Watch in Digital Entertainment" by Digital Media Wire.
Digital Media Wire is a full scale media company that owns and produces 8 major conferences, publishes daily newsletters and directories, and operates the popular www.dmwmedia.com news and community portal.
Rob and his fellow honorees dissected all things digital at today's all-afternoon conference in the city of sin.
Rob was also a guest speaker on a Kodak panel at CES moderated by Kodak Chief Marketing Officer, Jeff Hayzlett. You can find the 20-minute video called "I Want My Web TV" (part 1) from 1p today here.
Part 2 features our wonderful wizard, star and guiding light from "Easy to Assemble," Illeana Douglas. You can also catch her TubeFilter interview from CES here.
As soon as all the advils and bloody marys take effect, we're getting ready to launch all new episodes of EASY TO ASSEMBLE on Wednesday, January 20 on My Damn Channel. And what about SPARHUSEN??? More shall be revealed 1.20.10.
Lauren Galanter here, Content & Video Manager for My Damn Channel. Today I'm guest blogging something important which I just found out about.
Before joining the My Damn Channel family, I was an editor for Alive in Baghdad. Brian Conley, the creator, has been detained in Beijing. From the statement of Students for a Free Tibet, the group Conley was working with:
"Beijing - Brian Conley, creator of the well-known videoblog, Alive in
Baghdad, was detained with his friend, Jeffrey Rae, early Tuesday,
August 19th in Beijing. Their detention appears to have taken place at
the same time as that of international artist James Powderly, whose
detention was reported Tuesday. Three other bloggers and activists,
Jeff Goldin, Michael Liss, and Tom Grant, have also been missing since
Tuesday morning. Conley, 28, Rae, 28, Goldin, 40, Liss, 35, Grant, 39
are all American citizens."
Our content is different here, but we share the same goal of breaking new ground in online video. Spread the word to help a fellow video pioneer!

The article on SFT, to be updated with ways to help.
UPDATE: Conley and others given 10 day sentence

MY DAMN CHANNEL GIVES IN TO IRRATIONAL FANS
Donnie Hoyle Returns With “You Suck at Photoshop”
Plus Season 3 of “Wainy Days” and a New Daily Show
NEW YORK, June 9, 2008 - My Damn Channel (www.MyDamnChannel.com), the entertainment studio and new media platform, today announced the return of two of the most popular, original series on the web.
Tonight, the Webby Awards will honor My Damn Channel seven times with accolades including Best Comedy series for “Wainy Days,” plus Best How-To series and People’s Voice wins for “You Suck at Photoshop.”
“You Suck at Photoshop” is produced by the creative duo Big Fat Brain. The series has been viewed over 9 million times. Donnie Hoyle, the mysterious lead character for these “mockutorials” vanished after episode 10.
Deluged by fan requests for Hoyle’s return, My Damn Channel successfully negotiated a follow-up season with the emotionally unstable screencaster. The series will reboot with all new episodes Friday, June 27.
David Wain is the creator, writer and director of “Wainy Days.” This hit web series follows one man’s absurd quest for love and sex in the big city. The first 2 seasons have been viewed over 5 million times. Guest stars have included Paul Rudd, Jonah Hill, Elizabeth Banks, Rob Corddry, Michael Ian Black and Michael Showalter.
Wain is a founding member of the comedy troupes The State and Stella. He is a successful film director whose credits include “Wet Hot American Summer” and “The Ten.” Wain is currently filming a new comedy starring Seann William Scott, Paul Rudd, Elizabeth Banks and Christopher Mintz-Plasse.
The third season of “Wainy Days” premieres Monday, June 16th, with a long list of guest stars from top Hollywood films and hit television series including Elizabeth Banks, Lee Majors (“The Six Million Dollar Man”), Janeane Garofalo, Jeffrey Ross, Ed Helms, Alicia Witt, Saffron Burrows, Elizabeth Reaser, A.D. Miles, Mather Zickel, Zandy Hartig, Lucy Punch, Matt Ballard, Christine Lakin, Xander Berkeley, Sarah Clarke, Jorma Taccone and Joe Lo Truglio. “Wainy Days” is produced by Jonathan Stern.
Finally, My Damn Channel announces a new, daily show. Grace Helbig is the star of “Daily Grace,” premiering weekday mornings. Grace hosts a daily, freeform vlog delivering unfiltered commentary on new video premieres, featured clips and life behind the scenes at My Damn Channel. “Daily Grace” features two-way communication with the website’s growing community of music and comedy fans. Grace is a writer, improv artist, actress and comedian. She was previously featured on My Damn Channel’s “Bedtime Stories.”
Founder and CEO of My Damn Channel, Rob Barnett says, “In ten months, we’ve captured over 24 million views for our original videos. We’ll never be able to see the beach this summer now that advertisers are signing up to be associated with our quality content. Later this month, we’ll announce a major, mid-six figure deal for branded entertainment. Better than a sun tan.”
