JIMMY KIMMEL: VIDEO GOD

In the badass business called "show," the toughest gig is probably 4 hours of live radio every day of the week. You can put live comedy right up alongside radio. The men and women with the balls to lead either of those two lunatic lives deserve gold medals.

Only a few amazing souls make it to another death-defying gig, as host of their own late night show.

More than enough has been written and said about Leno and Conan. There's never enough said about Jimmy Kimmel.

Jimmy Kimmel Live is the best late night show on television. He consistently proves it all night - every night. Whenever Jimmy attacks the art form of video shorts, he blows us away.

Please njoy nshare this latest masterpiece:

"IMPREGN8ED" by Tray-Mo featuring Lil' Jim.

FOX and MY DAMN CHANNEL

Posted in DAMN, NEWS, Iceman Chronicles with tags 15 Gigs, Fox, My Damn Channel, Iceman Chronicles on 2/18/2010 3:00:00 AM by Rob Barnett

Fox has chosen us as one of their premium distribution partners for original web series they've produced, and we plan to start developing and producing original new series together as well.

Our new best friends at 15 Gigs said way too many nice things.  Rachel Webber, Director of Digital Strategy and Development at Fox Television Studios said: "We've been huge fans of My Damn Channel and we couldn't be more excited to get this partnership going.  We love the My Damn Channel audience and are eager to hear what they think of our shows.  It's an honor to be standing beside the likes of 'Easy to Assemble,' 'You Suck at Photoshop' and 'Wainy Days,'  and we're very happy to be bringing the talent we work with -- especially Drama 3/4, creators of Iceman Chronicles -- into this mix."

My Damn Channel Founder/CEO, Rob Barnett says, "THANK YOU. We take our partnerships seriously. We've always been insanely selective about finding the best people and the best series to bring to our audience. 'The Iceman Chronicles' is the first of a lot more goodness we have up our collective sleeves. We're excited to have Fox in the family."

We're launching today with a series called, "The Iceman Chronicles." Think 'Twin Peaks' - with more murder - but funny. It's a dark comedy that follows coroner/veterinarian Russell Coldpalm (played by David Fickas) as he navigates the sins and secrets of Blythe, Arizona.  Coldpalm and a motley cast of locals discover horrible truths through a series of comedic twists on the hunt for a mysterious serial killer...the Iceman. The show comes from Drama 3/4, the creative minds behind MSN's "Mr. Robinson's Driving School," VH1's "I Hate My 30's," and web shows including "Anakin Auditions" and "No Football for Old Men."

OK. Stop reading about this love fest and watch the first 2 episodes with new shows rolling out every Thursday.

Snow Day

Posted with tags snow, New York City, weather, blizzard, Sparhusen on 2/10/2010 9:32:27 AM by KT Pierce ~ Voodoo Priestess

It's snowing outside and New York City has issued a Blizzard Warning and is shutting down schools, day cares, some businesses, and many restaurants.

All of us over at My Damn Channel are all alone in our homes today (missing each other terribly), but staying in touch via the magical world of the Internet.

Two of the crew sent in photos (above) of the snow along with a very special photo of what might be MDC's new mascot (move over sloth).

If you live in NYC, stay inside - unless you're throwing snowballs, stay warm, and check out the brand new uncovered footage of Spärhusen - filmed just 3 weeks before their tragic plane crash.

The Saints Came Marching In

Mardi Gras is here (Jan 30 - Feb 16) and The Saints won the Super Bowl.  Mitch Landrieu is the mayor of New Orleans and all seems right in the world.

To celebrate, My Damn Channel threw a Mardi Gras party that was inevitably crashed by our own Grace Helbig and Dave Ahdoot (and ended up being WAY more fun than we intended).  Look out for an all new Grace Crashers - presented by Southern Comfort - coming soon!

That's not all - we were paid a surprise visit by two very special My Damn Channel viewsers (Smokybanjo & Puca) who came all the way from Ireland to join in on the fun.

We don't care what that groundhog said last week, Spring is soooo on the way.

HARRY SHEARER: The King of New Orleans

January 30th kicked off the first night of Mardi Gras 2010 and our own Harry Shearer became King of New Orleans - appointed by Captain Oscar Diggs of krewedelusion (a New Orleans satirical parade Krewe with a mission to save the Universe).

Not only did Captain Diggs appoint Shearer the King of The Big Easy, but
says "krewedelusion intends to truly empower its leader to govern. Govern everything. Period. Case closed."

Harry Shearer is directing a documentary called "The Big Un-Easy" - a film about why New Orleans flooded, how it was not a "natural disaster," and why it very well may happen again.

Adventures in Interning: Lesson One

Posted in My Damn Channel with tags My Damn Channel, Interns, Flush, Toilet on 2/1/2010 11:50:39 AM by Virginia H. Reiff

My Damn Channel is doing its part to educate America's curious and lost youth: taking on several stupendous interns to edify the inner workings and secrets behind creating the World's Greatest Website and content.  (All for the price of a smile.)

But first, as they say: we need to learn how to flush The Toilet.

I sure hope I can get this part right.  It seems... somehow.. significant.  Like when I texted 'Haiti' to the Red Cross, or made Daily Grace a part of my morning routine, or learned that no matter how 'magical' coconut water is, it's not worth the nauseating flavor going down... Good thing I'll know how to flush it instead of imbibe it, eh?
