(Stuff You're Looking For On This Blog)
You guys search for a lot of info about
Daily Grace and
Mememolly. And that's cool.
But I'm not Grace or Molly. Sorry. My name is
Maria.

(Sorry. Not blonde.)
I am My Damn Channel's "Social Media Voice," which means I write My Damn Channel's
Twitter,
Tumblr,
Facebook and
House Blog, among
other things. Yes, it's my fault that the
photoshop is bad and
the jokes aren't funny and
no one comments. So, if you haven't figured it out by now, I'm pretty good at my job.
What other kinds of things would you like to see here? What other things would you like to know?
Tell me. Let's TweetTumblFaceBlogSquare together. Leave some comments. Talk to me on Tumblr and Twitter and Facebook and stuff. I posted a picture of myself with a
light switch, for God's sake. If that doesn't scream "you can
talk to me" I don't know what does.
We have a
foursquare page!
We debuted it in stealth mode a couple of weeks ago, but we figured it would be a good time to tell everyone about its existence today since
Mark Malkoff would be checking in all over New York City.
So you should follow us on foursquare. We're
making lists of places you should go, curated carefully by our staff. We're giving you
tips on what to do to ensure maximum fun time. And since our staff are the ones making these lists, you might even run into one of us
having a drink somewhere,
or just laughing really hard at with our friends.
We'll also use the page to
tell you when we're doing fun things and carrying around free My Damn Channel swag to give away to our friends.
So follow us, friend us and hang out with us. Unless that restraining order is still in effect (you know who you are).

Shark Week on 8/5/2011 10:45:00 AM by Josh Meisel
If you haven't noticed, Michael Ian Black has been hosting Comedy Central's #SnarkWeek. That's right, #SnarkWeek.
If you’ve ever felt left out not being able to participate in Shark Week, then #SnarkWeek is for you. Tweet the snarkiest tweets you’ve got with the eponymous hashtag #SnarkWeek. If they're snarky enough, they’ll be featured on Comedy Central's very snarky stand up page. Snark!
The week culminates with Michael Ian Black’s comedy special “Michael Ian Black: Very Special,” which premieres Saturday on Comedy Central at 11:00 ET. The Comic’s Comic interviewed Michael about #SnarkWeek (the pound sign is very important) here. And as always, you can see Black’s face in this Wainy Days episode, or on our very own Stella Channel.

Oh, Slacktory. How did you know that we all feel like cranky old men all the time? Your new meme, "Feels Old Man: The Advice Meme for Young Old People" is the best repurposing of a Clint Eastwood image since this guy's chest tattoo:

Something Old Something New on 4/29/2011 7:00:00 AM by Matt Warren

If you woke up this morning with an extra spring in your step and a little bit of a glow about you, fear not. It's not a brain tumor (probably)—you're just basking in the glorious psychic afterglow of the Royal Wedding! I mean, like, OMG, right?
Yes, there's nothing more romantic than a photogenic young commoner being hand-selected by the Illuminati and served up on a silver platter for review and approval by the future king's cadre of clucking, hunchbacked toadies as they strum lutes and swill peasants' blood from pewter goblets. At least that's how I presume it works. I don't know. I'm an American.
But regardless, My Damn Channel is using this opportunity to "say yes to the dress" and provide you with one each of the following:
Something old...
The first ever episode of 'You Suck at Photoshop.'
Something new...
The latest trailer for the new series 'Versailles,' starring Patricia Heaton.
Something borrowed...
Not ours, but still hilarious: a break dancer kicks a baby in the face.
And something blue...
Andy Milonakis's 'Red Blue.' That works, I guess.
So say "I do" to these videos or forever hold your peace. Also, don't forget to send the happy young couple something nice. I'm pretty sure they're registered at Pottery Barn.

According to "the internets", there are no 2011 year model cars that come with tape decks. How am I supposed to listen to my cassette single of Aerosmith's "I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing" without a tape deck??? This must have been how my Dad felt when he found out they stopped making LaserDisc players (which was surprisingly only in 2009).

Last night, Howard Stern went on Piers Morgan Tonight to be interviewed by British dude Piers Morgan. Right off, Howard took control, and it was clear why he is the King of All Media - even though it seemed Piers believed that he and Howard were...PEERS! OH!
My Damn Channel's own fearless leader Rob Barnett was asked on to the Howard Stern Show last year on 4/20 to discuss Howard's departure from terrestrial radio and finding his replacement. And Howard was gracious enough to chat about My Damn Channel - The King! Talking about My Damn Channel! What an awesome experience.
Enjoy a clip from the interview

Last weekend My Damn Channel founder/CEO Rob Barnett hosted all-star panel for the closing keynote at the Blogworld & New Media Expo in Las Vegas.
Some of Rob's old friends like Penn Jillette and Adam Carolla and some of Rob's new friends like Mark Malkoff, Cali Lewis and Jeff Hayzlett joined Rob onstage to chat about the ever-changing world of New Media (we named them for you from left to right):

Here's the whole gang together, including the event's MC, Shira Lazar (third from left):

And a lot of you are sad you missed it. A lot of you probably didn't even know you should've been in Vegas last weekend! Don't fear! You can watch the video here! Fast forward to the 17:55 mark to see what might be the best thing to happen in Vegas since legalized gambling and stripper poles:

We're on the scene in Vegas. My Damn Channel Founder/CEO, Rob Barnett, was selected as one of the "25 Executives to Watch in Digital Entertainment" by Digital Media Wire.
Digital Media Wire is a full scale media company that owns and produces 8 major conferences, publishes daily newsletters and directories, and operates the popular www.dmwmedia.com news and community portal.
Rob and his fellow honorees dissected all things digital at today's all-afternoon conference in the city of sin.
Rob was also a guest speaker on a Kodak panel at CES moderated by Kodak Chief Marketing Officer, Jeff Hayzlett. You can find the 20-minute video called "I Want My Web TV" (part 1) from 1p today here.
Part 2 features our wonderful wizard, star and guiding light from "Easy to Assemble," Illeana Douglas. You can also catch her TubeFilter interview from CES here.
As soon as all the advils and bloody marys take effect, we're getting ready to launch all new episodes of EASY TO ASSEMBLE on Wednesday, January 20 on My Damn Channel. And what about SPARHUSEN??? More shall be revealed 1.20.10.
