The King of All Media on CNN

Posted in Howard Stern with tags Howard Stern, Piers Morgan, CNN, King of All Media, Rob Barnett on 1/19/2011 8:35:02 AM by DannyMoney

Last night, Howard Stern went on Piers Morgan Tonight to be interviewed by British dude Piers Morgan. Right off, Howard took control, and it was clear why he is the King of All Media - even though it seemed Piers believed that he and Howard were...PEERS! OH!

My Damn Channel's own fearless leader Rob Barnett was asked on to the Howard Stern Show last year on 4/20 to discuss Howard's departure from terrestrial radio and finding his replacement.  And Howard was gracious enough to chat about My Damn Channel - The King!  Talking about My Damn Channel!  What an awesome experience.

Enjoy a clip from the interview HERE.

JIMMY KIMMEL: VIDEO GOD

Posted in Jimmy Kimmel with tags Jimmy Kimmel, Tracy Morgan, IMPREGN8ED, Tray-Mo, Lil' Jim, Jimmy Kimmel Live, My Damn Channel on 2/25/2010 8:36:42 AM by Rob Barnett

In the badass business called "show," the toughest gig is probably 4 hours of live radio every day of the week. You can put live comedy right up alongside radio. The men and women with the balls to lead either of those two lunatic lives deserve gold medals.

Only a few amazing souls make it to another death-defying gig, as host of their own late night show.

More than enough has been written and said about Leno and Conan. There's never enough said about Jimmy Kimmel.

Jimmy Kimmel Live is the best late night show on television. He consistently proves it all night - every night. Whenever Jimmy attacks the art form of video shorts, he blows us away.

Please njoy nshare this latest masterpiece:

"THE WORLD'S GREATEST ROCK & ROLL BAND"

Posted in Rolling Stones with tags Rolling Stones, Shine a Light, WAAF on 4/3/2008 10:15:00 PM by Rob Barnett

A few other living rock bands have chased "the title" - but when those contenders take a private look in the mirror, they all know the championship belt still belongs to The Rolling Stones.

Their iconic stature is so immense that it's become too easy to take the Stones for granted. They've toured endlessly, touching millions - but if you've never seen the Rolling Stones in concert, you've missed the chance to inhale the primordial goo that led you to every rock band you ever worshipped.

I was 21 in '81, when I had my first close encounter of the mystical kind. A series of amazing coincidences put me in a position to dream up an impossible night of music. I co-created a secret Stones club gig with the band which put them on a tiny stage at Sir Morgan's Cove in Worcester, Massachusetts. We filled the club with over 300 fans of our radio station, WAAF. It's one thing to see the world's best band in a football stadium - it's another thing to see them five feet in front of your face.

The band continued the tradition of doing secret warmup gigs in small clubs over the years. On rare occasions, they've played small theatres like the Beacon in NY. In the fall of 2006, Martin Scorsese documented the Stones there. The result is a new film called, SHINE A LIGHT which opens tomorrow.

We've got 5 clips up now on our PromoSexual channel to drive you to the movie and to get you one step closer to feeling what all the fuss has been about since 1962.

When real rock becomes dangerously rare, authenticity annhiliates cynicism.
