Did you watch Coolio on The Food Network's
Rachael vs. Guy: Celebrity Cook-Off? You wouldn't be alone. The Food Network posted
the highest ratings in its history last month.
We'd like to think that The Food Network's dramatic increase in viewership is directly related to the Ghetto Gourmet. After, all, who can resist
chicken so good it falls off the bone or a
caprese salad so tasty it makes your drawers drop?
Coolio came in second to Lou Diamond Phillips despite breaking out the big guns like
Soul Rolls and a newer, Guy Fieri-approved version of his
Cool-A-Cado, winning a more-than-respectable $10,000 for
Music Saves Lives. To which we say,
Shaka, Coolio.
Shaka forever.
Taxi Driver. Taxi. Cash Cab. That movie With Jimmy Fallon, Queen Latifah and Gisele Bundchen that no one will ever admit to seeing.
There's something glamorous and romantic about taxis, right? Who doesn't wish they could jump into one and say "Follow that car!" Or "Step on it!" Or "Don't you dare try to take me down the FDR during rush hour!"
A few weeks ago Mark Malkoff tried to make some taxi riders' dreams come true, so long as their taxi-riding dream wasn't more complicated than getting from one place to another:

Highlights include when Mark and his driver "Tony Danza" the cab:

And Mark's costume changes:

Make sure you follow Mark on
Twitter and
Facebook so that the next time he's looking for someone to be in a video, it might be you. You might even get a free meal out of it, so long as you don't mind sitting in your food:

we're survivors just like destiny's child in that one song on 7/31/2011 3:30:00 AM by

It's hard to believe that on this exact date four years ago, we launched this site.
We had only three artists to start: Don Was, Harry Shearer and David Wain.
Daily Grace didn't even exist in 2007, when we were born. Did you know that we made her in a factory in late 2008? Yeah, special order from the same company that makes Segways! It's true!
Look at all the people wishing us Happy Birthday:

We're so lucky to have so many good friends...and we count YOU, dear readers, among them. Because if you've found our blog, it means that you REALLY like us... and we like you back. Thanks for helping us survive another year. When we get to 10 years old every single one of us, employee and viewser, will get all-expenses-paid vacations to the Turks and Caicos.* Here's to us AND you! We wouldn't be here without you! Buy yourself a cake and have some of it! Yay!
*Totally, absolutely and appallingly untrue.

The hilarious new National Terrorism Strike Force: San Diego: Sport Utility Vehicle, aka NTSF:SD:SUV:: premieres tonight on Adult Swim with the epic first episode, “Mexican Space Shuttle.” So break out the no-doze, because when the clock strikes 12:15 am, NTSF:SD:SVU:: will go from being a fictional television show on the hospital drama spoof Childrens Hospital to real-life police procedural spoof. To put it simply, NTSF:SD:SUV is to CSI what Childrens Hospital is to Grey’s Anatomy.
Like the show it spun off of, NTSF:SD:SUV:: (whose full title looks like it belongs in the now-defunct analogies section of the SATs) is chock full of performers who are no stranger to My Damn Channel. For example, here's NTSF cast member Martin Starr getting all his teeth knocked out by David Wain. Plus, Executive Producer Jonathan Stern is one of the men responsible for both Wainy Days and Horrible People, writing and directing a number of Wainy Days episodes, including this one.
So watch it every Thursday night at 12:15am on Adult Swim!
Happy Friday, everyone! As you know, this weekend marks the annual celebration of very solemn and important holiday; a time to gather with friends and family and reflect on what it means to be an upright, moral person in this chaotic, modern world. That's right, it's Sherri Shepherd's birthday.

And to commemorate the comedienne’s 44nd, we'd like to point you toward two of the best Celebrity Autobiographies ever, featuring Sherri reading books by
Madonna, which she handles solo, and by
Destiny's Child, in which she's joined by comedy superheroes Mario Cantone and Jackie Hoffman.
So don't forget to toast this legendary funnywoman the way God intended: by eating yourself stupid on Cadbury Creme eggs.

Our hearts are with all of the victims in Haiti.
Many lives have been lost, and many more are in desperate need of help - babies and small children have lost their parents, and many orphans are without shelter. By visiting Haiti-Relief.com, you can donate as little as $5 to help rebuild those orphanages.
In the mean time, the Save the Children foundation has been setting up Child Friendly Spaces (shelters and camps) to give the children a place to play and sleep until other remedies surface.
By texting the word "SAVE" to 20222, a $10 donation to Save the Children will be added to your phone bill.
Also by texting the word "HAITI" to 90999, a $10 donation to the Red Cross will be added to your phone bill.

Also, George Clooney (among other film stars who have yet to be named) is teaming up with MTV for a telethon event to raise money for the victims.
The event is set to air this Friday, January 22 on all MTV networks (this includes VH1, Comedy Central, and CMT) along with ABC, HBO, NBC, and CNN.
