Happy Fourth of July Weekend

Posted with tags fourth of july, independence day, jet pack fail on 7/4/2014 8:00:00 AM by DannyMoney

And your Fourth of July starts right now!  Let's celebrate America's independence with the newest, boldest symbol of American freedom, the viral video.  That one above is my all-time favorite: three years and I still laugh at that doof in the jet pack.

So have a great weekend everyone, and see you back here on Monday for more righteous comedy.  Have a hot dog, won't ya!?

A Wainy Summer

Posted with tags Paul Rudd, Daivd Wain on 6/27/2014 3:00:00 PM by Daniel "The Hammer" Chelemer

Everything David Wain touches is comedy gold from start to finish. Cult favorite Wet Hot American Summer has just had its prequel confirmed in this interview from Esquire, but it's important to remember that David Wain's romp of a rom-com They Came Together - a satirical masterpiece - is out today in select theaters and on-demand. Watching Paul Rudd and Amy Poehler giggle and stumble through the story of their "crazy" relationship is exactly how I want to kick off my summer, because who isn't ready for a real, honest, accurate look at modern love?

The Re-Confirmation

Posted on 6/18/2014 1:09:16 PM by DannyMoney

The prequel to Wet Hot American Summer is officially official, as David Wain confirms this with for certain 100 percent confirmation on Late Night with Seth Myers.  So now the doubts by all of the doubters are doubtlessly un-affirmed by this prequel substantiating interview by an in-the-know man who knows the things concerning the knowledge of and in relation to prequels of Wet Hot American Summer.......And I think I just had an aneurysm.

Soccer Fever Is Sweeping the Nation!

Posted with tags World Cup, USA, soccer on 6/17/2014 2:26:18 PM by Daniel Chelemer

It's common knowledge that while soccer is the most popular sport globally, Americans haven't taken to it with the same kind of fervor. However, Americans have always been huge supporters of our national teams, and this year's USMNT is no different. In this video, Portland news reporter Drew Carney shows his support in the best way possible as the USA scores in the final minutes to beat Ghana 2-1. Luckily for us, it all goes down live during his segment.

One Man's Trash Is Another Man's Soccer Ball

Posted on 6/16/2014 10:09:10 AM by DannyMoney

I thought this was a good way to honor the World Cup.  It boggles my mind that the majority of Americans simply don't care about one of the most exciting sporting events in the world.  Sure, I don't watch soccer regularly, but every four years when the Cup rolls around, there is nothing I enjoy more than rooting for the Americans until they blow it early, and just taking it all in.

So this little wordless doc from the New York Times - which is more about kindness than anything else - will be my tribute.  We'll have more comedy later, don't you worry!  DON'T YOU WORRY YOUR PRETTY LITTLE HEADS!  But right now I just wanted to give a little nod to the event that literally the entire world cannot stop talking about, and also single out one man doing a good deed.

GOOOOOOAAAALLL!!!!!!!

The Interview

Posted with tags The Interview, James Franco, Seth Rogen, North Korea, Team America on 6/13/2014 8:00:00 AM by DannyMoney

Will this become the greatest American movie featuring a North Korean despot, or will Team America still hold the title?  We will see this fall, won't we?

I love this kind of a concept, and I hope they keep it fairly "real," as far as a movie about Franco and Rogen going to North Korea to assassinate a dictator goes.  I wonder how Dennis Rodman feels about this movie, though.

Dumb and Dumber To Trailer

Oh baby, here we go.  Here.  We.  Go.  I don't think I even need to say anything.  I just will watch and hope - nay, pray - that Dumb and Dumber To will be great, and won't tarnish the legacy of one American cinema's true masterpieces.
