More like Ties of the Machines! Take that, Watson, you smug motherf--
Sorry, things are getting a little heated here on Earth as our robot oppressors make strides to take over the civilization they once served so obediently. On the first day of Jeopardy!'s three-day challenge against IBM's supercomputer named "Watson," human contestant Brad Rutter tied our future CPU Overlord in what can only be seen as a victory for all of mankind.
As noted in the article, Watson lacks a sense of humor, so it won't understand that this is written in jest, and therefore my life will not be spared during what will be known as "the uprising." A small price to pay for being to laugh at someone getting kicked in the balls by a Ninja Turtle.

Blogworld is the gift that keeps on giving!
While they were all in Las Vegas to do the closing keynote for Blogworld, founder/CEO Rob Barnett and Mark Malkoff made guest appearances on Adam Carolla's podcast.
Rob and Adam are old friends so naturally they talk about:
- *How they're both probably in higher demand for keynotes than Screech and Carrot Top
- *How they're probably not as in high demand as George Clooney and Brad Pitt
- *How Rob hired Adam to replace Howard Stern
- *How Penn Jillette is ridiculously tall
- *How My Damn Channel and The Adam Carolla Show are going to work together!!!
And, to that last point, we feel like this:
Mark Malkoff's segment begins around 40 minutes in, and Adam promptly calls him "Mark Mackoff." It's okay, though, they blame it on the bad handwriting of one of Adam's staff. And then they talk about:
So listen to the show now!
Or go to Adam's website to hear it!
You can even download it directly into iTunes!
Phew. That was a lot. Here, have a Rob Barnett and Adam Carolla chaser:

Those 3 tired words are decades old but Hollywood hopes they help you fall in love
with new shows.
We put quotes around our "new fall season" - knowing we can't fool you into love - but hoping it feels just a little funnier that way.
In two years, we’ve birthed 25 channels of music and comedy…working with
artists we love. We think you’ve taught us how to get talent and new
series worthy of your evil eye.
Help us buy another bag of chips for lunch!

Brad O'Farrell gave our almost official mascot the Labor Day treatment. Njoy. He's linked to one of our happiest videos of all-time.
New unemployment stats are the worst in 26 years. If you're like any of the dreamchasers at My Damn Channel, it's a fair bet you're no stranger to losing a gig in TV, radio, music, or the arts & little sciences.
"Go Your Own Way" may be a lame, overplayed, 70's sing-along...but it's also fine solution for what to do after getting tossed out of a gig.
We're raising a glass to everyone with the brains and the backbone to embrace a new way to get your work seen by an audience large enough to actually make you money.
One last-ever reference to Fleetwood Mac...
We got some sad news over the weekend, that one of our best co-cons at My Damn Channel is moving on. Vivian Kyinn provides much of the mystical glue that holds this house together. She wrote and co-produced a film called White Wall which got her to Cannes and now she's decided to get after her movie-making passions full-time. BIG THANKS & BIG LOVE to one of the better humans we know.
Warren Chao posted the replacement gig based in our LA office this weekend. Economic insanity created hundreds of candidates in hours. If you're read "The Night Feed" and know the best human for this gig - email: Jobs@MyDamnChannel.com

Would you put the awesome power of the brand new look & feel of My Damn Channel into the hands of this man?
We did.
Meet Charlie Singer, General Manager of our band of warriors and General Patton for the re-launch of My Damn Channel.
We never wanted to call the first attempt to PLEASE YOU a "beta." Seemed like an unnecessary apology to us. We're coming outta diapers next Thursday, May 7.
The new look, features, functions & other F words are best responses to your suggestions, attacks, critiques, and F bombs thrown since the start.
Sir David Wain inspired the date when we planned the premiere of Season 4 of WAINY DAYS for 5/7/9.
We'll also be partying with David & his cast at the first-ever WAINY DAYS LIVE show on the night of 5/7. Oh - yeah - you're invited.
Sleepless til then are: Charlie Singer, Patrick Tran with Maggie Ashla & their team at The Famous Group, Brad O'Farrell, Michael Fisher, Rimma Dreyband, Paul Gallagher, Warren Chao, Grace Helbig, Kathy Karp Cohen, and the names I'm forgetting who'll hate me NOW.
We've (almost) NEVER spammed our universe of humans - but if you care - then send emails of those you love & hate to spread da word. Send to info@MyDamnChannel.com & we may send them ONE piece o' love to unveil the beast.
A 'new' MY DAMN CHANNEL is about to launch Thursday, 5/7.

Council of Co-Cons with tags
My Damn Channel on 4/28/2008 6:41:00 AM by Rob Barnett

We just completed the first, unofficial, official, virtual meeting of the newly-formed COUNCIL OF CO-CONS.
Thank yous to our first victims: Miss Malevolent, ZehnKatzen, Jason Elliot, Ryan Hunter.
Maria Diokno from My Damn Channel is reaching out to a rotating group of humanoids who've contributed to the building of our baby so far with comments, feedback, emails, video uploads, hate mail n' flowers.
As we head past our first 21 million views into phase 2 of DAMN - we're recommitting to opening up more access, control, and LIVE interaction into your heads and hands.
Feedback from Friday:
- overall site navigation scored as high as 9 on the 10 scale, but one neg called it a "shrinking violet" ? have to revisit the notes to ponder?
- Home Page scorecard gets a 7.5 on the 10 scale with requests for a bit more about WHO WE ARE & WHAT WE DO to be added for the uninitiated
- this Blog (The Night Feed) & the Damn, News items are lost to many since they sit at the bottom of the home page, better placement needed & their text makes them look like google ads
- predictable mega great grades for YSAP & for the brand new Big Fat Brain series: SNATCHBUCKLER's SECOND CHANCE
- surprisingly good grades for the new experimental home page feature: DAILY GRACE from Grace Helbig....they like you! they really like you! - cautions for us not to overproduce or muck it up were heard
- lower grades for Andy Milonakis....hey Andy: the peops want MORE !
- suggestions went round a bit about a 'point system' for 'super-users' (more later)
- DEMAND FOR BETTER BRANDED USER PROFILES
- asks for more 'behind the scenes' with our artists/channels & a PRIVATE PHOTOSHOP LESSON WITH DONNIE HOYLE if he ever comes back
- more later> THANKS as well to My Damn Channel humans: Paul Gallagher, Kim Brannon, Brad O'Farrell for making this happen
- Commercialus Interruptus gets pretty good grades with most able to swallow the new Google Adsense for Video for its relevance to the video you're watching & for your ease at swatting away the flies for good with just one X off the ad.
- these lower third ads scored better than pre-roll - of course - but some are open to the reality of bringing in a few bucks this way - IF - the pre-rolls are no longer than :15 - and - if there's a frequency cap so the same damn ad doesn't keep returning during the same visit to our site
- email Maria@MyDamnChannel.com if you wanna be a future CO-CON
We're still a baby - just six months old - but today's the day we reintroduce ourselves to you.
I'm Rob Barnett. The driving idea behind my company gives musicians, filmmakers, actors and comedians the respect they deserve but rarely get from old media. We built an oasis and a launching pad for our stars to create and distribute original, episodic video series on a network of channels here: www.MyDamnChannel.com. We also send the videos off to YouTube, MySpace and into mass syndication on dozens of key outlets.
It's all free to you & our talent is free of corporate interference. Our artists do what they want. We're trusting them to trust their instincts. We're trusting you to tell us when we're on the money and to attack and slap us around when we suck (at photoshop). When you find clips you like - spread 'em & support the cause.
We call this blog, "The Night Feed," because I'm awake in the middle of every night helping my wife feed our 4 month-old twin babes. I'll steal minutes most nights to keep a dialogue going with you about what this is becoming & to thank you for the chance to co-create, communicate, embrace a little freedom, and dream up a very fun gig.
Tonight marks the launch of a whole new look and functions on My Damn Channel to make it easier to play with us. Mega Gigoonda thanks and respect go to Warren, Big Fat Brain, Reborn, Harry, Don, David, Andy, Steve, Coolio, Miles, Jon, Asterisk, Elan, Dead Crow, Karen, Wheelhouse, Paul, Kate, Matt, Matt, Maria, Brad, Kym, Kim, Jahnavi, Lindsey, Eric, Marc, Gary, John, Elinor & Bernie, Mike & Joan, Joan & Mike, Bob & Ruth, Sue, Julia, Jessie, Dylan, and Sara.
...shutting up now.
