Did you watch Coolio on The Food Network's
Rachael vs. Guy: Celebrity Cook-Off? You wouldn't be alone. The Food Network posted
the highest ratings in its history last month.
We'd like to think that The Food Network's dramatic increase in viewership is directly related to the Ghetto Gourmet. After, all, who can resist
chicken so good it falls off the bone or a
caprese salad so tasty it makes your drawers drop?
Coolio came in second to Lou Diamond Phillips despite breaking out the big guns like
Soul Rolls and a newer, Guy Fieri-approved version of his
Cool-A-Cado, winning a more-than-respectable $10,000 for
Music Saves Lives. To which we say,
Shaka, Coolio.
Shaka forever.

1. All of those colons in the title are hypnotizing you.
2. Paul Scheer is making a FAKE GUN WITH HIS HANDS in all of the promo ads and that is high-larious to you and your Charlie's Angels fetish.
3. You grew up in the age of AIM, so you just kind of have a "thing" for initials and acronyms. OMG, IKR?
4. You actually did get it confused CSI or NCIS or SVU or something.
5. You'll probably forget to change the channel after watching
Childrens Hospital anyway.
So watch it tonight on Adult Swim on Thursdays at 12:15am!

Harry Shearer was the first artist signed to My Damn Channel when we launched four years ago in 2007.
Harry first encountered satellite news feeds when he worked at SNL. He's fascinated with the contents of videos that you normally never get to see and we call these clips: Found Objects.
We just uploaded a new Found Object on My Damn Channel, Diane Sawyer: "I Have Nothing."
Here's the link.
Harry writes, "Diane Sawyer is on the scene after a tornado has ripped through Joplin, anchoring a live broadcast from the city. But it's not easy for her."
He adds, "This is a portrait of a fly-in anchor covering a disaster. Diane may be Diane, but this is pretty much what you get when you send high-priced anchor talent into a place where everything has fallen apart and nothing works. The quote, 'I have nothing,' of course, should more appropriately be coming from a tornado victim.'"

NSYNC said it best: "If you want to fly/Come on take a space ride with the space cowboy - BABY!"
And that's exactly what you will be doing during
this week's episode of Gigi. Gigi is in space. Saving the world. Winning the heart of the woman he loves. What more could you possibly want? Oh, Hank "The Rock" Goldberg? You get that, too! No big deal, just Gigi delivering the GOODZ - again!
So check out
SPACE COWBOY and you will be lifted to a higher plane of comedy. I guarantee it! Just look at the still above! LOOK AT IT!

Holla at ya boy DannyMoney, ladies and gents: it's 420 and you know what that means!
So I'm assuming some of y'all will be getting a little silly today? A little goofy? High as a kite? Well if you are, My Damn Channel has a whole bunch of videos - well, the entire site, really! - that'll get you laughing on this special day that comes but once a year (just because YOU celebrate every day doesn't mean it's 420 year round!). Here are a few of my favs:

- Not only is today 420, but a new episode of Gigi: Almost American premiered, which you can watch
RIGHT HERE. I love me some pig dog!

-
HERE'S a wacky video from the master, Andy Milonakis. It never fails to crack me up, mostly because it's so damn idiotic, which I consider possibly the HIGHEST compliment I can give.

- And while you're at it, why not watch the entire 10 episode
series of Horrible People. Sit back and let it ride! This is seriously one of the funniest shows I've ever seen. Probably due to the fact that it was written and directed by A.D. Miles, currently the head writer on The Jimmy Fallon Show.
Word up!

Got cash??? In this episode, Gigi finds himself in a high stakes game of poker with a trio of new "friends." Like the card shark that he is, he's down to go all in. Watch it here.
If you're new to Gigi, you can catch up on Episode 1 and Episode 2.
New episodes every Wednesday!

The headline of
ABC's video reads, "South Park Creators Invade Broadway" with a subheadline of "Jake Tapper chats with the creators of Broadway's show, The Book of Mormon." I'd add a sub-subheadline to say that Jake Trapper is a South Park superfan, and that he's living out his dream of interviewing Matt and Trey. Robin Roberts even punks him out at the beginning of this video about what a fanboy he is.
But can you blame him?
South Park has been a hit for years and preview showings of The Book of Mormon are blowing minds.
John August, writer of the movie Big Fish and Corpse Bride, recently
tweeted, "
BOOK OF MORMON is as good as everyone raves. Envy is the most sincere form of flattery." And check out this from Penn Jillette of Penn and Teller - Teller and I are at intermission at our old broadway theater watching The Book of Mormon. It may be the greatest thing I've ever seen."
It's time for us to stop being modest! We have the star of The Book of Mormon, Josh Gad, launching a new show called Gigi: Almost American THIS WEDNESDAY! 3/23. March 23rd, 2011!
A day that will live in infamy.
Until then, watch the promos and trailer and spread the word.

Holy snaps! Check out our boy, Josh Gad - star of our upcoming series
Gigi: Almost American, "on"
The Daily Show last night! Okay, so Matt and Trey from South Park were really the guests; there to talk about their new Broadway musical
The Book Of Mormon. But Josh was about as on as you can be without being there in person (check him out behind Matt and Trey, singing like a champ). Plus he's been on The Daily Show as a correspondent so no need to split hairs here anyway.
Matt and Trey got some pretty high praise from their Comedy Central counterpart. I won't spoil what Mr. Jon Stewart had to say, you can
check it out for yourself. Actually, you need to hear it for yourself because it'd probably sound like I was making it up if I told you because when I say "high praise", I mean it was downright biblical (pun intended, suckas!).
Episodes of Gigi: Almost American launch 3/23, but you can get your fix now with the trailer and promos
NOW.

It's Monday morning. My body is sweating out the alcohol to make a little more room for the residual Doritos and Oreos. The highs of Super Bowl Sunday have given way to the realization that the season is over. And now I have to pretend to like basketball until football starts again.
The game between the Steelers and Packers was a great matchup between two storied franchises. Exciting until the end, the biggest event in American sports did not disappoint. But how did it look to foreign eyes?
CHECK IT OUT RIGHT HERE.
Looking at the Super Bowl with a non-American point of view has my American ass laughing. Some of the captions are so unintentionally funny, and make it sound like the Steelers and Packers are just old chums having a romp in the schoolyard. I'll let you find your favorite.
Are you ready for some futbol!!!

Mark Your Calendars: November 17th, 2010 is National UnFriend Day.
From now until National UnFriend Day on November 17th, we'll be posting a
Public Service Announcement from Jimmy Kimmel and some celebrity
friends. You'll be able to see all of the videos at MyDamnChannel.com/JimmyKimmel
Facebook friends: we've all got 'em. But do we need them? Do we even KNOW them?!
There's your Aunt Karen, who plays FarmVille so much, you wonder how she ever gets any work done at her job at the DMV.
There's that guy who still writes his status updates in the third person
and he writes them CONSTANTLY: "Mike Smith is trying to decide what to
watch." "Mike Smith is really looking forward to seeing everyone at the
high school reunion!" So not only is Mike Smith ridiculously boring,
his third-person status updates are stuck in 2006.
There's that girl whose friend request you accepted because she looked hot in her profile picture, but whom you can't remember ever meeting in real life.

Well, okay. She's pretty hot. Maybe you won't UnFriend her.
But everyone else that you don't know and/or don't really like: UNFRIEND THEM ON NOVEMBER 17TH. Let's give fake friends the boot.
Look, even William Shatner's on board:

Make sure you follow Jimmy Kimmel and My Damn Channel on Twitter. We're going to be keeping track of people who pledge to join the National UnFriend Day movement with the hashtag #NUD.
Take the pledge and join us, won't you?
