HEY! That's not Wolf Blitzer!
Actor/author/director/satirist/musician/radio host Harry Shearer's
found footage of the CNN team prepping for the Florida Republican Debate using civilians as stand-ins for the candidates might be the best thing to happen to the GOP Debate since
Michele Bachmann took the longest pee break ever.
Newt Gingrich is looking decidedly more feminine since the last time we saw him. When the petite redheaded woman introduces herself as "Newt Gingrich" and proclaims "I just ran a marathon before I got here," Fake Wolf Blitzer chuckles and her fellow faux candidates smile.
Could they possibly find her more charming than the real thing?

Hey GOP Candidates, relax a little! Slip into something more comfortable! Let your hair down!

That's more like it. Now how about we whistle the National Anthem?
We're reintroducing a semi-regular feature called "That Ain't Right." We find tweets containing the phrase "My Damn Channel" that have nothing at all to do with us. Amazingly enough, the correct reply to all of these tweets is "That Ain't Right." Try it for yourself. Weird, right?
Here are a few we rounded up this week:

Did someone change @_ambiie‘s damn channel WITHOUT her damn permission!?!?!
This is America, you can’t just change people’s channels without telling them. That Ain’t Right.

That Ain’t Right, @x_Brandi and @_ambiie_ need to get together
and form a support group for people who have had their channels changed. That Ain’t Right.

All these people changing other people’s channels? That Ain’t Right.
It is about time that someone standing up for themselves and protecting their damn channels.
@dridri113, continue to fight the good fight!

Ok @_LaKillah, maybe let's not use such strong language, there are C-H-I-L-D-R-E-N around.
That being said, you are the last victim in a recent outbreak of channel changing crime and That Ain’t Right.
That's all for this week's edition of That Ain't Right! If you'd like to submit a tweet to us, send it to us!

Everyone's so uptight about what they can put on the Internet. It's like, "Come ON, everybody!"
Meet
Dicki.
She's 40. She lives with her parents. In the middle of nowhere. She makes a living doing...uh... something... we think. And in
Episode One she's trying to get her Facebook profile picture juuuuuuuust right, which we totally understand since we've all held the camera at arm's length in a weirdly lit hallway, trying to make it look like it's a candid shot of us out at some ridiculous party having extraordinary fun, instead of just standing in our parents' hallway hoping they don't ask us what we're doing.
If
we were
Dicki, we'd probably just take a photo that made us look as much like
Mary Lynn Rajskub as possible, since most people who know her work as "Chloe O'Brian" or "Gail the Snail" are pretty enamored of her.
Oh, well, to each their own, we guess. And in Dicki's case, we don't think that will be a problem.
We have a
foursquare page!
We debuted it in stealth mode a couple of weeks ago, but we figured it would be a good time to tell everyone about its existence today since
Mark Malkoff would be checking in all over New York City.
So you should follow us on foursquare. We're
making lists of places you should go, curated carefully by our staff. We're giving you
tips on what to do to ensure maximum fun time. And since our staff are the ones making these lists, you might even run into one of us
having a drink somewhere,
or just laughing really hard at with our friends.
We'll also use the page to
tell you when we're doing fun things and carrying around free My Damn Channel swag to give away to our friends.
So follow us, friend us and hang out with us. Unless that restraining order is still in effect (you know who you are).

Shark Week on 8/5/2011 10:45:00 AM by Josh Meisel
If you haven't noticed, Michael Ian Black has been hosting Comedy Central's #SnarkWeek. That's right, #SnarkWeek.
If you’ve ever felt left out not being able to participate in Shark Week, then #SnarkWeek is for you. Tweet the snarkiest tweets you’ve got with the eponymous hashtag #SnarkWeek. If they're snarky enough, they’ll be featured on Comedy Central's very snarky stand up page. Snark!
The week culminates with Michael Ian Black’s comedy special “Michael Ian Black: Very Special,” which premieres Saturday on Comedy Central at 11:00 ET. The Comic’s Comic interviewed Michael about #SnarkWeek (the pound sign is very important) here. And as always, you can see Black’s face in this Wainy Days episode, or on our very own Stella Channel.
We're so happy to announce that
The Comic's Comic is the newest part of the My Damn Channel Blog Network!
Editor
Sean L. McCarthy has been working the comedy beat for years, becoming the definitive guide to the best comedy and comedians in the world.
You can read the full press release
here, but you should really just go to
TheComicsComic.com and subscribe and bookmark it and make it your homepage already. Unless your homepage is already
MyDamnChannel.com, in which case... uh... SWEET.
It's Wednesday. Here's something to help you get over the hump:

The Mortal Kombat: Legacy finale!
Fighting! Cyborgs! Sorcerers! The final episode kicks so much ass we don't know what to do bur stare slack-jawed at our screen and make gifs of our favorite fight scenes.

Watch it now and make your Wednesday kick a little more ass, too.

Harry Shearer was the first artist signed to My Damn Channel when we launched four years ago in 2007.
Harry first encountered satellite news feeds when he worked at SNL. He's fascinated with the contents of videos that you normally never get to see and we call these clips: Found Objects.
We just uploaded a new Found Object on My Damn Channel, Diane Sawyer: "I Have Nothing."
Here's the link.
Harry writes, "Diane Sawyer is on the scene after a tornado has ripped through Joplin, anchoring a live broadcast from the city. But it's not easy for her."
He adds, "This is a portrait of a fly-in anchor covering a disaster. Diane may be Diane, but this is pretty much what you get when you send high-priced anchor talent into a place where everything has fallen apart and nothing works. The quote, 'I have nothing,' of course, should more appropriately be coming from a tornado victim.'"
Who's that at the door? Oh, it's just Randy and Jason Sklar; stars of
Back on Topps, the
Sklarbro Country podcast, and their two man stand-up show - which just happens to be rocking
Gotham Comedy Club tonight and tomorrow (25th and 26th). Great guys who are always bringing the funny. And really, if you don't think these guys are funny then we have nothing to talk about because you clearly don't understand anything about anything.

here for info about their live show at Gotham. Click
