As you’ve no doubt already been told by your desktop widget and/or angry landlord, today is the 5th of the month. That’s right: 5/5, aka Cinco de Mayo
. It’s the one night of year your nightly routine of putting on a Lucha Libre mask, drinking an entire bottle of tequila, and watching telenovelas for 18 straight hours can actually be considered a progressive nod toward multiculturalism, so live it up! So don't be afraid to strap on the sombrero and drunkenly fumble your way through an all-bongo version of “Oye Como Va.” And don’t worry if your girlfriend flees the room in tears, that just means that you’re awesome!
And no My Damn Channel show is more telenovela-y than current head writer on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon
, A.D. Miles’s
awesome “Horrible People,”
starring Mather Zickel, Kristen Schaal, Jo Lo Truglio
, and a ton of other way cool people. So get yourself a nice cool glass of horchata, pour it out, grab a beer instead, and watch the first episode here

My Damn Channel was born 7/31/07. We were still in diapers when the Webby Awards first starting loving our artists with 7 nods in 2008.
They honored our family 5 more times in 2009. And this year, 8 new acts of love. We suck at math, but that's a lotta Webby lovin'.
The Webby Awards were just announced today.
THANKS to every human who voted - the judges, the fans...and congrats to every creator in webland for the recognition for your work n' fun that goes into forging the new world.
BIG love and respect to all in our family. Here are links to the My Damn Channel honored class of 2010:
Extra special love to Illeana Douglas and the "Easy To Assemble" team for her nomination for Best Individual Performance...and to David Wain and Amanda Peet and the whole Wainy Days fam for their nomination for Best Individual Episode for "Jill."
New "Wainy Days" and New "Easy To Assemble" episodes are in the works now.
If you made it here to THE NIGHT FEED blog on MY DAMN CHANNEL even once before, then you've likely made it into more than one of the 9 circles below.
HAPPY 09! The sun is coming up & as we get ready to race around it again with you - here are nods & promises:
To Our Families & Friends:
The work is impossible without your support & meaningless without your love.
To Our Artists:
To those who've been with us, those who remain, & those about to join My Damn Channel in 09...we built this ship for you: a studio, a network, a syndicator & a cash-creator like no other. Freedom reigns - red tape disappears & you're in the driver's seat to reach as large an audience as you can - and to reap the rewards you deserve. We worship your ability to make people smile, dance & think.
To Our Fans:
Thank you for finding us, for spreading our url and our videos - but most importantly - thank you for setting the bar as high as you like. The stats don't lie and we're ready for another 365-day lesson about what you want and what's not worth shit.
We built the site going against the grain where a zillion others put a few needles inside a humungous haystack. Here, we bring you a smaller number of better web series. But there's enough of you coming now on a daily basis to grab more help from sponsors - so you'll get MORE series to watch.
We trust you to keep attacking us with what's right & what's horribly wrong. You know how to find us.
To Our Advertisers:
We found you an experienced and skilled new leader in Suhaila Suhimi. In the first days of 09, we're ready to unveil our new plans. We're going to give you the opportunity to get inside new series with major talent. And we're also ready to co-create more branded entertainment that delivers high-quality, affordable, effective results.
To Our Backers:
Others have fallen trying in 08. They raised too much (or too little), they over-promised, under-delivered, and crashed. Thank you for believing that we could sign pro talent, build big audience, and win the trust of major advertisers to bring us to break-even at break-neck pace. We've proven that our model works, now we prove that it scales.
To Our Syndication partners:
You've given us the promotion and the placement we needed to prove that our videos deliver for your audiences. To potential new partners, we'll continue to offer the best original music & comedy and ask just two things in return: significant promotion and a straight-up rev deal.
To Our Competitors:
Respect to every runner out there who is brave enough to enter the race. There's room for more than a few winners. And there's room for some of the smarter teams to run together.
To Our Staff & Every Human creating My Damn Channel 24/7:
We're a small group of determined punks proving that you don't need a thousand execs to screw in a light bulb. Your brilliance is blinding. Your dedication is inspiring. We're winning the game inside the worst economic crisis of our time because of YOU. You make it fun to get out of bed every morning. 09 will be an even bigger blast for all of us.

Matt Bledsoe & Troy Hitch
We’re launching our newest MY DAMN CHANNEL series today from the men who brought you “You Suck at Photoshop” (YSAP). Big Fat Brain is: Matt (Bledsoe) & Troy (Hitch) - one vowel away from South Park and please add Amy Austin to your consciousness - since every male lobe needs a brilliant woman behind them...or something like that.
YSAP is nominated twice by the WEBBY AWARDS for Best Comedy Series and for Best How-To Series.
7 WEBBY nods in all, for our artists & our site.
From Genesis to Revelation & from “YSAP” to “Sn4tchbuck3r’s Second Chance”

The YouTube Awards Are Back!
In 2007, we witnessed an explosion of ideas and creativity on YouTube. You showed us that online video is not just a way to share pet and baby videos (though it is certainly good for that, too), but rather it can be so much more: a showcase for aspiring artists, a megaphone for everyday people, a way to learn new skills and even to change the political process. In recognition of all of these vibrant uses of and communities on YouTube, we expanded the awards this year to include five new categories -- Best Short Film, Best Political Video, Best Sports Video, Best Eyewitness Video, and Best Instructional Video – for a total of 12. Each category now has six nominees instead of 10 (a special nod to those of you with short attention spans).
You'll also notice that the structure of the awards and the way voting works look a little different this year. Every time you refresh the page, the order of the categories and the featured thumbnail change in a random order so there can be no bias in the way the content is viewed or presented.
As you might imagine, whittling down any category to six videos was a gargantuan task and already we'll say we're sorry to the hundreds/thousands of deserving content creators who didn't get nominated. But you can't exactly blame us - you made these videos memorable and helped them rise to the top of the YouTube charts. The nominees reflect some of the most buzzed-about videos on the site, particularly the ones you bookmarked to watch later (and presumably again and again).
So head over to the YouTube Video Awards channel
to start watching and voting for some of the videos that defined '07. You can vote once per day (though you may not change your vote on the same day) and you have until 11:59pm PT on March 19, 2008, to do so. Winners will be announced on March 21, 2008, at which point we'll feature them on this page
as well as overnight them a trophy like no other
(and believe us when we say this). Winners will also get a special invitation to a YouTube event later this year.
Good luck and have fun!

We put "THE NOD" on our homepage to be able to put one video per day in a place that deserves special attention.
If you've run into a few too many ego maniacs, wrong-headed people and power trippers lately, then I hope you spend 4 minutes watching our video of the day by clicking on the image below...and spend more minutes digging deeper into DICK GREGORY.
Day 2 of the NEW look & all new features on My Damn Channel. We added essential items like SEARCH - VIDEO VIEWS - RATINGS - DATE ADDED - VIDEO LENGTHS - and EVERY SHARING FEATURE WE CAN THINK OF.
Go to the Home Page & check out 'THE NOD' - A thousand years ago, Siskel & Ebert scored with their THUMBS UP / THUMBS DOWN movie rating....dumbing down simplicity to a whole new level. You've got your 3 stars & 4 stars - you had your 'GONG SHOW' - your seal of approval - i'm shutting up now....
'THE NOD' is our way & your way - to pick ONE video every day - from anywhere - to get the My Damn Channel Home Page Luv.
Yesterday we launched 'THE NOD' with two friends - Hollywood's best couple - Sarah Silverman & Jimmy Kimmel - with Sarah's candidate for clip of the year: "I'm Fucking Matt Damon." How 'bout that ABC TELEVISION NETWORK -huh? Somebody's growing some steel ones down below.
Today, 'THE NOD' found a YouTube clip by a guy called CRanga. It's a topless/British/NINE MINUTE review of "WAINY DAYS." Put this very HAIRY dude on your calendar for a lunchtime view. Don't think he's trying to be funny - he gets so much, so wrong. Find Hairy Boy on our home page today.
Email your suggestions for THE NOD to: info@MyDamnChannel.com
Monday is the SEASON 2 FINALE of WAINY DAYS!!!
Andy Milonakis did the Tom Green show the other night. Tom is a consistent hero. It's likely our damn thing may never have evolved without people like Tom who paved the way. WATCH HIS SHOW - linked below.
You'll see Andy as the real man behind the mic. He's an honest, good-hearted, comic rebel. We're lucky to have him on our side. You'll see Milonakis give the nod to Andy Kaufman. See him rap freestyle. See him eat a carrot. See him give the other guest more respect than this blog can allow.
An "awesome sandwich" is ruined again as one-note Danny Bonaduce finds it completely impossible to shut his mouth. No guest, no story, no anecdote is safe from interruption as Danny recounts the millionth telling of the same five stories in his repertoire. It's a career built on mocking his own failures. Sad. He nearly wrecked the Adam Carolla show with the same desperate vibe you'll see here:

The twins turn three weeks old today. We rocked them both back to sleep this morning, and thoughts bounced between the joy and honor of caring for these perfect little souls...and the angst of knowing they were born into a world led by a war-hungry demagogue. The Joy Killer.
Bush is hellbent on the notion that he can protect us like the father by talking tough. He never got past the anger of 9/11 to enter into any other stages of the grief. "Blow them all to hell" is a reaction that crept into pop culture long ago, but it's the wrong drama to turn into a reality show. "Dead or Alive" was a pathetic joke...and Osama's still laughing.
If you've read the news, then you've seen stories unfolding since Abu Ghraib about our government's decision to torture human souls in the name of freedom. Now, the secret ship of state is leaking like a sieve and the waterboarding scandal is front page news. My Damn Channel's Harry Shearer decided to do what any enlightened rebel would do in this situation.......he's singing about it.
Imagine what the world would be like if more of our heroes could carry a tune.
On day 101 of 'My Damn Channel Invades Earth' - we're releasing Harry Shearer's "Waterboardin', USA" to radio stations and video screens across America.
Harry was just nominated for Funniest Web Video in the upcoming TV Guide Online Video Awards vs. Will Ferrell's "The Landlord" and SNL's "Dick in a Box."
My Damn Channel also got the nod for Best Comedy Web Site, but we're up against Comedy Central, Funny or Die, and SuperDeluxe. We're gonna BEG for your VOTE just to see if our wizeass little web site can topple the big money favorites. Please help us get up on that TV stage + make some trouble!!!!
What would an awards show be without a nod to God. Let's endeth with a morning prayer: Dear God, please bless our new babies and please be good to Harry Shearer for he giveth us The Simpsons, Spinal Tap, Le Show, and weekly new web videos like "Waterboardin', USA." Amen.
