Guitarist/composer A. Spencer Barefield has toured and recorded extensively in the U.S., Canada, and Europe as a leader and soloist, working with such artists as Lester Bowie, Roscoe Mitchell, Oliver Lake, Andrew Cyrille, and Richard Davis. Barefield is the Artistic and Executive Director of the Creative Arts Collective, and has taught guitar and improvisation at the University of Michigan School of Music and elsewhere.
