My Damn Channel - Kim Weston "Take Me In Your Arms"

Kim Weston is perhaps best known for the hit singles she recorded on the Motown label and for her duets with Marvin Gaye. She also starred in the Broadway musical, Halleluiah Baby and in the film Wattstax. Her rendition of "Lift Every Voice and Sing" is considered to be the definifitve version of the "Black National Anthem". To close the 2010 All Star Revue, Kim performed her classic, "Take Me In Your Arms". I loved it when the entire Revue joined her onstage for the final choruses - you can get a strong sense of the good vibes and relaxed fun that characterized the evening.
