Multi-instrumentalist James Carter, winner of Downbeat Magazine “Critic's and Reader's Choice” award for baritone sax several years in a row, plays tenor sax on this marvelous rendition of “On The Set”. He has performed, toured and played on albums with Lester Bowie, Kathleen Battle, the World Saxophone Quartet, Cyrus Chestnut, Wynton Marsalis, Dee Dee Bridgewater and the Mingus Big Band among others.
