NEW YORK, NY, JUNE 18, 2012 - New York City comedian Mark Malkoff watched 252 movies on Netflix streaming in one month, and shared his experience with the world. It was only a matter of time before Netflix CEO Reed Hastings would get wind of the incredible feat, and when he did, the response was surprising: declaring June 11 "Mark Malkoff Day" at Netflix headquarters.
"I couldn't believe Netflix gave me my very own day," said Mark. "Netflix told me it was the first time in the history of the company where anyone was given such an honor."
Mark flew to Netflix headquarters in Los Gatos, CA, last week, where his video, "Netflix Challenge" was screened for Netflix employees. Of course, Mark documented it all in a new video-- "Mark Visits Netflix"-- which premieres today on

"Mark has a powerfully consistent track record-- accomplishing one of the hardest feats in online video-- he creates ideas that stand out from a sea of content to capture our imagination and massive awareness," said My Damn Channel Founder/CEO Rob Barnett.
Mr. Hastings personally met with Mark and congratulated him on his accomplishment. "When I met Reed Hastings I geeked out big time," said Mark. "I had no clue I'd be face-to-face with the man himself."
Also during his Netflix visit Mark watched the film
Troll 2 in a private screening room. "I watched Netflix
at Netflix," said Mark. "How cool is that?"
Netflix said Malkoff's stunt of watching 404.25 hours of streaming Netflix content in a month was a record for any customer.
"Going to Netflix, I felt like Charlie going into Wonka's factory," said Mark. "It made watching 29.4 hours of closing credits in a month almost worth it."
