People. They have their pros and cons. On the one hand, a man alone is a man alone, forever adrift. On the other hand, people kinda suck - anyone ever been on a subway before? So it's only natural that human interaction can be a bit dicey, if it even happens at all. I mean, sometimes you'll see the same person day in and day out in your office building; or in your neighborhood grocery store; or on your hellish morning commute. And even though you see these people more than you see your own beloved family, you never speak to them. Why is that?
"Hipsterhood" is a web series on Blip that explores this idea. It follows two hipsters who are constantly running into one another but never speak. It's a funny, down-to-earth look at two young people and it is as charming as it is heartfelt. If you thought hipsters couldn't be humanized, well, look no further: after watching "Hipsterhood" I dare you to not drink a bottle of Komucha.
