1. This apartment building (pictured above) lost its FACE. Holy shit. It just crumbled like someone had cast a spell on the building to turn the wall to dust. There's amazing video of the wall disappearing.

2. This crane dangling above midtown Manhattan. Holy shit. Watch the video. It snaps and bends backwards like it's a drag queen doing a drop.

3. This picture of Ground Zero getting flooded. It's a waterfall. In Manhattan. A WATERFALL IN MANHATTAN.

4. The flooded subways. I like to overreact, and all of a sudden I had visions of becoming Keira Knightley in that one scene in Atonement. Spoiler Alert if you haven't seen that film, but THIS happens.

5. This plastic bag. I saw it stuck in the tree outside my window sometime on Monday morning, and it was STILL THERE AFTER THE HURRICANE. Like, HOW IS THAT EVEN POSSIBLE??? That's nuts. That's not right. I can't explain it, so it freaks me out.

1. Hurricane Sandy. The Frankenstorm. It will affect millions of people along the East Coast. Are you in the path of the storm? It's scary, for sure. But you still shouldn't be alerting the authorities to the fact that you plan on coping during the hurricane with illegal substances. Come on, now, y'all.

2. The San Francisco Giants won the World Series! They swept the Detroit Tigers to become the 2012 World Series Champions. And then there was rioting. Because nothing says "I'm so happy we won!" like climbing on buses and lighting things on fire.

3. Joss Whedon decided to come out in support of Mitt Romney AND the impending zombie apocalypse.

4. Argo was finally the top film at the box office this weekend. It only took three weeks!

5. Lindsay Lohan tried to invite Lady Gaga to our friend Tyler Oakley's live chat over the weekend. How fetch!

Meteorologists are predicting that Hurricane Sandy, which is heading up through the Bahamas at 105 miles per hour will combine with a cold front coming in from the West and create a potentially devastating phenomenon they've terrifyingly named Frankenstorm.

Last year, when Hurricane Irene was about to hit the East Coast, Grace gave you some tips on how to survive the storm. I thought I would create my own list of things you'll need to do in order to survive the wrath of Frankenstorm.

1. Trader Joe's Box of Wine - You might not be able to leave your apartment for the duration of the storm, so you're going to want to stock up on booze. This lovely box contains 4 BOTTLES OF WINE and only costs $10. They claim it keeps the wine fresh for up to 45 days, but something tells me it won't last that long.

2. Television Show Box Set - You're going to have to entertain yourself during the storm, so you want to stock up on TV shows to watch. Me, I'm getting the complete box set of Gilmore Girls to keep me company. The only debris that's gonna be flying around my house will be the witty repartee between Rory and Lorelai!

3. Candles - You need to be prepared for emergencies during hurricanes. Candles are essential in the event that you lose power. But why just get boring old regular candles? Why not spice up your power outage? That's why I'm getting a bunch of Yankee Candles for the storm. That way if I lose power, I'll not only be able to see but my entire house will be pleasantly scented like Peppermint Bark!

It's another TVgasm Tuesday (Thursday) (sorry, guys-- hurricanes are crazy things), and I'm fighting through no power, or water, or will to live to bring TV news to you guys. It was dark times (PUNS!) for a while, there. No power meant I had to read books and eat kind of melty ice cream and pretend I was Emily Dickinson. However, now I have internet so I'm dealing with staying inside for days in the following ways: 1) watching Dance Moms online, 2) tweeting (about food mostly) 3) reading up on entertainment news. Let's see what TVgasm has to get us (me) through the aftermath of this hurricane.

This Week:

Royalty isn't any different from us mortals (except Kate Middleton who may or may not be a deity); they love celeb gossip too! Watch TVgasm's new cartoon "Gossip Queens" to hear a couple Queens dish about some crazy famous people.

This post is coming a little later than usual because we had a big premiere this morning. And then I became distracted and had to drink some Cirroc because of all the submliminal overt messaging.

1. Isaac! It delayed the start of the Republican National Convention! Hey, does anyone remember when Michele Bachmann said hurricanes were a punishment from God? Actually, does anyone even remember Michele Bachmann?

2. The Expendables 2 took the top spot at the box office again this weekend. Who knew that senior citizens had so much endurance? (Yes, I will write a senior citizens joke every week that this movie wins the weekend.)

3. Ryan Lochte's sister is racist! Or maybe she isn't. Whatever. I think we can all agree that all Lochtes should just remain silent at all times.

4. Sunday was "Go Topless" Day. I guarantee you that none of your favorite celebrities took part. The picture above is from Gothamist and is of all the creepy guys who totally missed the point.

5.  "Call Me Maybe" has now invaded the U.S. Open. Resistance is futile. Carly Rae Jepsen is officially our Borg queen.
