I don't know if you guys heard, but the world is over. Yup, pack up your things and then do nothing with the things you packed up because we'll all be dead! Here are a few things I'm going to miss:

My Parents: They're nice people. They feed me when I'm home and took care of me for years and years. They aren't as cool as… say… this dad, Steve, but, I mean, they're still pretty cool.

Mamrie Hart: My one true love. How I will miss her beautiful singing voice but hopefully we will meet again in HEAVEN!!!

Christmas: The fact that we don't get to celebrate Christmas this year or ever again is a real bummer.

Alcohol: It's a lot of fun to drink this stuff (because I am legal age and if you drink it you should be, too!) so I will miss it.

Kate Upton: Need I say more?

There are few things that men seem to enjoy more than coming together during the football season to compile fake rosters of real athletes whom they will never know or meet and pretend that they are head coaches of fake teams made up of said players that they will compulsively monitor on computers and smart phones while competing against one another for the right to call themselves King of a pretend world that's based on the real-life doings of millionaires. 

It's what being a football fan is all about for half a year: playing pretend NFL.

And you know who's awesome at playing pretend NFL?  Me.  4-1 in my league right now-- first place in my division, cheech.  But you know who's really good at playing pretend pretend NFL?  The cast of The League, which has its season premiere tonight at 10:30 on FX.  

Now in it's fourth season, The League has been consistently funny since it kicked-off its first season in 2009.  But no one's surprised that it's a hilarious show since the cast includes Mark Duplass, Nick Kroll, Jon Lajoie, Paul Scheer, Katie Aselton and My Damn Channel's own bad daddy, Steve Rannazzisi.

Steve has been lighting it up in our original web series Daddy Knows Best, playing an absent-minded father who, among other things, gets tased, eats weed brownies, and takes his young son to a strip club.  Steve infuses Daddy Knows Best with the same zany, improvisational humor that has made The League such a hit.   So sit back and watch the ENTIRE SEASON OF DADDY KNOWS BEST before enjoying The League's premiere tonight.

Did you hear about the Connecticut parents who let their 5-year-old daughter swim with sharks on their vacation in the Bahamas?

Naturally, mom blogs and morning shows are beside themselves with joy as this incident has caused a larger debate on the pros and cons of the parenting philosphy equivalent of "YOLO."

But it seems to us this is a case of real life imitating web video art, since Steve Rannazzisi's character in Daddy Knows Best believed that letting his kid swim with sharks would guarantee viral video success.

The Daddy Knows Best video premiered in April, and the Connecticut YOLO family uploaded their video to YouTube in June. Hmm...coincidence? Seems the only difference between real life and fiction is that the fictional father at least thought to put his kid in a cage. Surely a cage would have made all the difference in the world, right?

Oh my god, last night's episode of The Office - the series finale - was so absolutely incredible I can't even put it into words but I am going to try my best.  <<DEEP BREATH>> …Okay, here we go.

First of all the part where Jim and Pam decide to leave Scranton in order to experience Canada was a bold choice and I loved it.  The argument they initially had was tense but also hilarious: Who knew Pam had that kind of a mouth on her?  Really funny when she let Jim have it - and sexy.

Dwight.  Dwight, Dwight, Dwight.  DWIGHT!  He will forever be one of my favorite characters in television history, and last night absolutely cemented his reputation as being so.  Utterly.  Hilarious.  Let me ask you a question:  Who writes this show?  Just tell me who the writers are so I can give them big old bear hugs!  They nailed it!  I mean, Dwight taking that boombox and throwing it into the ocean?  With the CD still in it?  The very CD they needed to nail their final presentation to the big execs?  Well, that's dramatic irony for you!  TEARS OF LAUGHTER.  Tears!

I could go on and one about each character: the gay one, the other guy who says one line an episode that's soooooo good always, The Hangover dude Ed Phelps, that hot red head (I love me the red heads, eh?  Eh??  Slappa da bass, eh????  Haha sorry, Rashida!  You'll find a man one day LOL)…There were moments on moments on moments of funny, moving stuff from every character.  But nothing compares to the big moment.  You know what I'm talking about…

Michael.  Scott.  MICHAEL FREAKIN' SCOTT!  I can't believe they had him descend from the ceiling singing "Nessun Dorma" - so so so so funny I peed my pants!  They had to bring back Michael Scott, and they did.  A+ job right there, guys.  You gave the people what they wanted.  And when Michael pulled out that gun and pretended to kill himself in order to make Dwight feel better about losing the CD in the ocean and then Jim finally connected with Dwight only to discover that Michael's suicide was fake?  And then the entire office cheered and hugged until BAM! they cut to black, end of series? And then they played "Don't Stop Believin'" over the end credits??  I laughed, I cried, it was better than Cats!  It was better than….ANYTHING IN THE ENTIRE WORLD, EVER!  

All in all, it was a great end to a great series.  From season one, episode one, to final season, final episode, I had such a great time.  Thank you to everyone involved with The Office for making life a bit brighter.  Oh, and don't worry, Ryan: a lot of people have HPV ;)

We're all about comedy at My Damn Channel, and comedy is all about community.  And if your interested in the comedy community you should definitely check out this multi-part documentary called Modern Comedian, where a bunch of really funny, culturally relevant comedians get profiled.  From Chris Gethard to Steve Agee, these comedians discuss booking shows, developing comedic voice, acting, writing, and all the things in between.  I watched the first episode and was hooked; it was only after the second time I soiled myself that I pressed pause and went to the bathroom.  Cleaned up, I continued to watch again.  I soiled myself three hours later and didn't notice until my roommate dumped a container of Ajax on me.  I am now blind (temporarily).  

Anyways, my point is, check it out.  I oftentimes take comedians for granted, in that I occasionally forget how much of themselves they have to put on the line to get us to laugh.  It's a hard life, there's no doubt about that.  But this documentary also shows the viewer that there are rewards out there for aspiring comedians.  And even if that reward is simply getting profiled in an excellent documentary such as Modern Comedian, that's not too bad, in the end.  

But money is nice.
