How was your long weekend? Mine was incredible, thanks for asking! You want to know why it was incredible? You're really interested in me and the things I have to say, huh? That is so nice.
Anyway, my favorite part of the weekend was Saturday night because I was hanging out at The Creek and The Cave for their 2nd Annual Creekie Awards. Everyone who's anyone was there. The Murderfist Gang, Mindy Tucker, Marianne Ways! All my favorite people!
The Roast of Henry Zebrowski won an award for Best Special Show or something, I can't remember the exact name of the award but they won!
I think my favorite part of the evening though was the Keynote Speech by Mike Lawrence. Entitled, "The Five Most Important Things I've Learned Doing Comedy In New York That I'd Pass On To Newer Comics," this speech was not only inspiring but also funny! Luckily for you, it can now be read on Huffington Post Comedy!
If you have any desire to do standup or already are doing standup I think this is a great read for YOU. I know it has inspired me even more! If you get so inspired that you want to hit up an open mic tonight come on by Bar 2A in Manhattan and hit up myself and my co-worker/comedy lover Joon's open mic Panic Attack!
See you tonight. I love you all,
